Preservación digital del proyecto: [](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4279638) Proyecto realizado por **AD&D 4D** con la colaboración y patrocinio de la **Comunitat Valenciana** y la **Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta**. La Torre de Antella es una construcción almohade del siglo XII. Su finalidad era la protección a la población de las incursiones cristianas a la alquería rural, que se refugiaban en ella en caso de peligro, y salvaguardaban el ganado en un recinto adosado a la torre denominado albacar. Además, las torres de l Ribera Alta se comunicaban con señales de humo entre ellas formando así un cordón defensivo. Con la conquista cristiana La torre quedó integrada en el palacio señorial. A lo largo de los siglos la torre árabe ha sido y es un símbolo para la población, marcando su identidad y paisaje, tal y como se refleja en el escudo de Antella. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
