SiCLIMA (Sistema de Información Climática de Aragón)
<p>SiCLIMA (Sistema de Información Climática de Aragón) is a high-resolution climatic gridded dataset for Aragón (northeast Spain) covering daily maximum and minimum temperatures and precipitation for the 1950-2020 period, at a spatial resolution of 500x500 m. Daily estimates for all grid points were computed from raw data of more than 3 000 weather stations provided by national and regional meteorological services: Spanish Meteorological Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, the Government of Navarra, and the Automatic Hydrological Information Systems (SAIHs) from the basins of Ebro, Júcar, Tajo, and Duero rivers. Methodological procedures for quality control, gap filling and gridding were applied following Serrano-Notivoli et al. (2017 and 2019) (https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-9-721-2017 and https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-11-1171-2019).</p>

Aragón (Spain) forest map around interurban roads
<p>Shapefile that contain the forest map of a 500-meter buffer surrounding interurban roads of Aragón (Spanish autonomous region) with relevant information such as land use. Original data source is the The National Geographic Institute of Spain - IGN. If you are interested in any other Spanish region or the whole country, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will forward it to you.</p> <p>The context is the Final Master's Degree Project 'Analysis and Predictive Modelling of Wildlife–Vehicle Collision on Interurban Roads in Spain' (Data Science Master’s Degree of Universitat Oberta de Catalunya - UOC).</p> <p>This dataset is the output of the land use analysis and the <a href="https://github.com/alba620/analisis-prediccion-accidentes-trafico-animales">code repository</a> is available on GitHub.</p>
Torre de Aragón, Spain (Point Cloud)
The so-called Torre de Aragón is a medieval fortress that is part of a much larger defensive complex located in Molina de Aragón (Guadalajara, Spain). The tower is located in the highest part of the area, dominating the valley generated by the Gallo river. Its strategic position meant that the tower was still considered useful in the 19th century, so it was rebuilt for military purposes. The Torre de Aragón is integrated into the defensive system of the medieval city of Molina de Aragón, one of the most extensive military complexes of the Middle Ages preserved in Spain today. The city of Molina de Aragón had a strategic character during the Middle Ages as it was located on the border of the Kingdoms of Castilla and Aragón. The Aragon tower was built on the remains of a previous Islamic fortress. It is pentagonal in shape to increase its resistance to impact from artillery, especially from catapults.
