Seasonal high-frequency measurements of discharge, water temperature, and specific conductivity from Priscu Stream at B1, McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica (1993-2011)

As part of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, a systematic sampling program has been undertaken to monitor the glacial meltwater streams in that region. This package contains data pertaining to continuous monitored water quality and quantity parameters measured with automatic recording devices on streams in this region. Specifically, this metadata record describes the hydrology dataset for the McMurdo Dry Valleys' Priscu Stream at the B1 streamgage, located in the Bonney Basin of Taylor Valley. Measurements commenced during the 1993-94 austral summer and continued through the end of the 2010-11 austral summer. The B1 streamgage was removed in December 2011 due to lake level rise and sedimentation of the control. No replacement site was constructed.

Phantom measurement data for 'Complex B1+ mapping with Carr-Purcell spin echoes and its application to electrical properties tomography', Iyyakkunnel et al. (2022)

<p>This dataset contains the phantom measurement data used in the published article Iyyakkunnel et al., &#39;Complex B1+ mapping with Carr-Purcell spin echoes and its&nbsp; application to electrical properties tomography&#39;, Magn Reson Med. 2022;87:1250&ndash;1260 (doi: 10.1002/mrm.29020). The acquisitions were made with a 3 T MRI system (Magnetom Prisma; Siemens Healthcare, Erlangen, Germany) using the body coil for transmission and the a 20-channel head and neck coil for reception. Phase images from multichannel coil data were reconstructed using the manufacturer&rsquo;s &ldquo;adaptive coil combine&rdquo; method. Magnitude measurements for B1 reconstruction using actucal flip angle imaging (AFI) is also included. Phantom scans were also performed with a 1H/23Na transmit/receive birdcage coil (RAPID Biomedical, Rimpar, Germany) for the Supporting Information Figure S1. The data includes the magnitude and phase measurements for the suggested Carr Purcell spin echo sequence with 10 echoes (in dicom (.dcm) format). For further measurement details, please refer to the mentioned original article.</p>

H2020 ENODISE: DLR Analytical Aeroacoustic Database Configuration B1

<p>This database contains the acoustic prediction results of DLR for a single operating point of the B1 configuration investigated in the framework of the European project ENODISE. In this configuration, three identical propellers with 6 blades are mounted at leading-edge of a wing (puller configuration). The results presented here can be compared to the measurements carried out by the Technical University of Delft, when these are available. The experimental results should be also saved on the ZENODO repository (use the key word ENODISE).</p> <p>The investigated operating point as calculated in the prediction is:</p> <ul> <li>Uinf = 30 m/s, advance ratio J=0.8.</li> </ul> <p>The DLR prediction results were obtained using the analytical approach implemented in the DLR in-house program PropNoise coupled to the blade element momentum theory.</p> <p>The interaction with the wing is accounted for in a simplistic way as explained in the detailed documentation <em>B_documentation.pptx.</em></p> <p>Only, the results for tonal noise are available in this database. Three cases can be investigated separately: a single isolated propeller, 3 distributed propellers, three distributed propellers interacting with the wing.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The DLR results are saved in h5 files, which can be read with e.g. Python.</p>

Elevation gradient plant species composition data for A1, B1, C1, D1, 1953 - 1996.

Plant species presence and abundance (Kooiman and Korb data) were recorded at four stands along an elevational gradient in the Front Range of Colorado. Each stand location was determined by Dr. John Marr. The Marr species data were recorded from at least 12 3ft x 3ft plots located in the corners of his 66ft x 66ft tree quadrats. Only species presence was recorded, not abundance. The Kooiman and Lindhart as well as the Korb data were collected from 50 85cm x 100cm plots which were systematically located within a sampling strip measuring 2m x 100m. Plots were located every two meters alternating left and right of the sampling strip. Species present in the strip but not in the plots were recorded by Kooiman as well as Korb. Species names in this data set are from Weber and Wittman 1996; the Marr and Kooiman datasets were updated using Weber and Wittman's list.

Air temperature, ET, and solar radiation data for B1 data logger (DP219), 1987 - 2006.

Climatological data were collected from a ridgetop climate station east of Niwot Ridge (B1 at 2591 m) throughout the year using an Omnidata DP219 datapod. This instrument has a sample interval of 10 minutes and maximum and minimum values are instantaneously recorded. Averages are means of 144 values and totals are totals of 144 values. Parameters measured were evapotranspiration, solar radiation, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and average temperature.

Precipitation data for B1 chart recorder, 1952 - 1964.

Precipitation data were collected from a ridgetop climate station east of Niwot Ridge (B1 at 2591 m) throughout the year using a chart recorder. Initially, instrumentation consisted of an 8-inch metal rain gauge with the receiving rim about 3 feet above the ground and measurements were made on an approximately weekly basis. More recently, instrumentation consisted of a Fergusson-type weighing rain gauge. Precipitation was caught in a bucket containing ethylene glycol (to melt snow) and light oil (to prevent evaporation). As the weight of the bucket increased, the pen moved up via a spring mechanism and recorded on a rotating chart. Precipitation was recorded on a continuous basis.
