VOA Bambara Headlines Dataset
<p>A dataset of Bambara language headlines in the form of titles and descriptions from <a href="https://www.voabambara.com/">VOA Bambara</a> media episodes (that is, audio and video clips).</p> <p>The original data for 271 episodes was collected irregularly between 2020-02-14 and 2020-03-10 AND daily for one month between 2020-03-16 and 2020-03-16.</p> <p>There is one data set file provided here:</p> <ul> <li> <p><em>public.tsv</em>: A cleaned version of the original data <strong>without</strong> repetitions and redundant episodes with little to no Bambara language data and <strong>without</strong> my interpretations, translation or notes.</p> </li> </ul> <p>See the README for more details.</p>

Bambara lexicographic data collected during November 2018
<p>Rough lexicographic data for 41 select Bambara lexemes collected during November 2018 in Bamako by Coleman Donaldson in the following formats:</p> <p>1) a .txt file in Toolbox format</p> <p>2) a .pdf of a formatted export from Toolbox's MDF tool.</p> <p>I follow the de facto official phonemic orthography synthesizing the various national standards that linguists use while also marking tone. Grave diacritics mark low tones and acute diacritics mark high tones. An unmarked vowel carries the same tone as the last marked vowel before it.</p>
