Temporal patterns of leaf litter inputs into a stream over a four-year period (2011-2014), Arbúcies, Catalonia, Spain.
Data based on estimations of leaf litter inputs from riparian trees into a stream reach over a 4 years period (2011-2014). Data was collected in Arbucies, Barcelona is a forested stream with no human pressure (i.e., pristine). Data contains values from 4 riparian tree species: AL (alder), AS (ash), BL (Black Locust) and BP (Black Poplar). Units are in mg. Estimations were extracted from sampling leaf litter input into the stream during the study period (30 samplings per year) and fitting Gaussian-type models (P<0.001, r2>0.60). Data also includes daily-basis discharge flow estimations based on discrete measure of flow using salt dilution technique and water level sensor data.
Fatal traffic accidents in Catalonia
<p>This dataset contains 1024 fatal traffic accidents ocurred in Catalonia between June 13, 2014 and October 20, 2021. Each record has data about the date and time of the accident, it's localization and a description. Please begin with the detailed Readme file and let us know if you have doubts.</p> <p>The paper <span>study the effects of judicial decisions </span><span>on sensitive issues on political attitudes. In 2010, the Spanish Constitutional Court</span><br><span>partially overruled the new Catalan Constitution–the</span> <span>Estatut</span><span>–that granted further </span><span>decentralization.</span> The main result is that <span>the ruling increased support for </span><span>independence by 5 percentage points. Ecological and Forest Inventory of Catalonia: Complete Plant Trait Dataset for Imputation Assessment
<p>Plant trait and forest data were retrieved from the Ecological and Forest Inventory of Catalonia (IEFC), carried out between 1988 and 1998 (Gracia et al. 2000‒2004). The subset of the IEFC was limited to 13 study species. Forest structure, lithology and sampling information for each plot were retrieved from the IEFC database. Climate data were obtained from the Climatic Digital Atlas of Catalonia, with a spatial resolution of 180 m (Ninyerola et al. 2000).</p> <p>We selected five plant traits (leaf mass per area, LMA, mg cm<sup>-2</sup>; leaf nitrogen per unit mass, <em>N</em><sub><em>mass</em></sub>, %mass; maximum tree height, <em>H</em><sub><em>max</em></sub><em>,</em><sub><em> </em></sub>m; wood density, WD, gm cm<sup>-3</sup>; leaf biomass to sapwood area ratio, <em>B</em><sub><em>L</em></sub><em>:A</em><sub><em>S</em></sub>, t m<sup>-2</sup>) that are used to describe major plant functional strategies. The auxiliary variables we considered were species identity, a set of climatic variables (mean annual temperature, annual thermal amplitude, both in °C), a set of forest structure variables (total aboveground biomass [T ha<sup>-1</sup>] and stem density [stems ha<sup>-1</sup>]), a set of topographical variables (county, elevation [m.a.s.l.], slope [°] and aspect), lithology (calcareous, non-calcareous or undetermined) and sampling month.</p>
