Un mâle (Fig. 1a) et une femelle ont ainsi été capturés au moyen de deux pièges d'interception (selon le modèle de Brustel 2012). Le premier piège était suspendu sur un chêne mort sur pied dans une chênaie thermophile de plaine, à une altitude de 499 m (Fig. 1b). Outre cette découverte, ce piège a permis de mettre en évidence d'autres espèces rares telles Clytus tropicus (Panzer, 1795) (Cerambycidae) et Camptorhinus simplex Seidlitz, 1867 (Curculionidae). Le second piège, situé à près de 5 km du premier, était placé sur un hêtre mort sur pied à 869 m d'altitude. Cet arbre était notamment colonisé par Rosalia alpina (Linnaeus, 1758) (Cerambycidae). Ce second piège a permis de capturer en outre plusieurs spécimens de Stictoleptura scutellata (Fabricius, 1781) (Cerambycidae) et un de Mesosa curculionoides (Linnaeus, 1760) (Cerambycidae), deux espèces rares. À noter toutefois que de nombreux chênes étaient présents à proximité de ce hêtre. Malgré le long intervalle entre les deux relevés, l'excellent état de conservation des deux spécimens capturés laisse supposer une date tardive de capture (plutôt en novembre qu'en septembre ou octobre). in Tetratoma desmarestii Latreille, 1807, un Tetratomidae nouveau pour la faune de Suisse (Coleoptera)
