Time series of carbon dioxide fluxes measured with eddy covariance for Danjiangkou Reservoir in Hubei Province, China during 2022-2024
This dataset contains half-hourly micrometeorological and eddy covariance flux measurements of carbon dioxide (CO₂) collected over the water surface of the Danjiangkou Reservoir in Hubei Province, China, from April 2022 to November 2024. The eddy covariance tower was installed at the deepest point of the reservoir, which serves as a critical water source for water supply and regional ecological functions in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Measurements were obtained using a LI-COR eddy covariance system (LI-COR Biosciences, Lincoln, NE, USA), and fluxes were calculated using EddyPro software (version 7.0.6). The dataset includes CO₂ and CH₄ fluxes as well as supporting micrometeorological, radiation, and water temperature measurements. All data were processed following established best practices for eddy covariance measurements, including comprehensive quality assurance and quality control procedures, which are fully documented and included with the dataset.
Data used in the physical-biogeochemical model of Danjiangkou Reservoir

The date set includes meteorological, hydrological, water quality, and organic carbon loading data obtained in 2009 for the Danjiangkou Reservoir in China. The data were used to set the boundary conditions of the physical-biogeochemical model, which was adopted to simulate reservoir methane dynamics in the Danjiangkou Reservoir.

Data from: Investigation of nitrogen and phosphorus contents in water in the tributaries of Danjiangkou Reservoir
.As part of the efforts to ensure adequate supply of quality water from Danjiangkou Reservoir to Beijing, surface water were sampled from the tributaries of Danjiangkou Reservoir in normal (May), flood (August) and dry (December) seasons of 2014, and characterized for nitrogen and phosphorus contents as specified in the applicable standards. Test results indicated that 1)the organic pollutions in Sihe and Shendinghe rivers were more serious than those in other tributaries, and the concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus favoured the growth of most algae; 2) total phosphorus (TP), total nitrogen (TN) and dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) were in the forms of dissolved phosphorus (DTP), dissolved nitrogen (DTN) and nitrate nitrogen (NO3-N) in these seasons, respectively; 3) compared with nitrogen, phosphorus was more likely to block phytoplankton overrunning; 4)TN, TP, permanganate index (CODMn) and other ions were positively correlated. These findings provided an important basis for the effective measures taken later on as appropriate to ensure adequate supply of quality water from Danjiangkou Reservoir to Beijing.
