Dataset - ESG Dimensions and Corporate Value of the Brazilian Companies
<p><span>This dataset is the population</span><span> of the public companies from the Brazilian Stock Market (</span><span>B3, 2023</span><span>). The authors use the list of 100 more liquidity companies on B3. Once the authors collected the 100 most </span><span>liquid</span><span> companies, based on the trade shares during the period of 5 years (2017 to 2021), the authors </span><span>analysed</span><span> the database </span><span>and</span><span> eliminated all the companies with missing data during the period of 5 years. In the end of the depuration process, the authors have 93 publicly traded companies collected from the Economatica database system from the year 2017 to 2021, performing a dataset of 465 observations for 5 years. The authors observed 81 companies linked to at least one ESG-related </span><span>index</span><span> and 12 companies </span><span>without</span><span> connection to ESG. The companies used </span><span>were</span><span> only the ones </span><span>that</span><span> have all data available in all years. </span></p>

<p>Este trabalho explora a relação entre a Gestão ESG (Ambiental, Social e Governança) e a Engenharia de Produção, analisando como as práticas ESG podem ser integradas de forma sinérgica na gestão de processos industriais. A Gestão ESG, uma abordagem cada vez mais relevante para a sustentabilidade corporativa, busca promover a responsabilidade social, a redução de impactos ambientais e a transparência na governança empresarial. A Engenharia de Produção, por sua vez, foca na eficiência operacional e no aprimoramento de processos produtivos.<br>Neste contexto, o estudo investiga como a adoção de métricas ESG, políticas de sustentabilidade e estratégias de governança corporativa podem ser aplicadas de forma estratégica na Engenharia de Produção. A pesquisa inclui revisão de literatura, destacando os benefícios que essa correlação pode proporcionar, como a redução de custos, a mitigação de riscos e o fortalecimento da reputação corporativa. Finalmente, evidencia-se que a Gestão ESG não apenas complementa a Engenharia de Produção, mas também pode ser uma alavanca para a inovação sustentável e a competitividade a longo prazo das organizações industriais. A pesquisa visa fornecer insights práticos e orientações para empresas e profissionais que buscam alinhar seus objetivos ESG com as estratégias de produção, contribuindo para um modelo de negócios mais responsável e resiliente no contexto atual.</p>
