MastaBase: a research tool for the study of 'daily life' scenes in Old Kingdom elite tombs

<p><em>Mastabase:&nbsp;a research tool for the study of the secular or &#39;daily life&#39; scenes and their accompanying texts in the elite tombs of the Memphite area in the Old Kingdom</em></p> <p>The Leiden Mastaba Project was initiated in 1998 to develop a coherent database of iconographic programmes&nbsp;in Old Kingdom elite tombs from the Memphite area (c. 2600-2150 BCE). It was published as a CD-ROM in 2008 by Peeters Publishers in Leuven.</p> <p>The project was directed by dr. Ren&eacute; van Walsem at&nbsp;Leiden University, and partly funded by NWO and LUF/Gratama. Hans van den Berg and drs. Marije Vugts played a vital role in its development.</p> <p>The ISO was uploaded by Nicky van de Beek.</p> <p>Project page:&nbsp;https://digitalegyptology.org/mastabase/</p> <p>---</p> <p>The Leiden Mastaba Project (LMP) concerns an integral and analytic study of the secular or &#39;daily life&#39; scenes and their accompanying texts in the elite tombs of the Memphite area in the Old Kingdom (c. 2600-2150 B.C.). The project has the aim to get insight in the developments of number, size, internal organization and shape of the various (sub)themes, their location in the tomb, their wall position (upper/middle/lower level), and their orientation (north/east/south/west) on the walls. This reflects the dynamics of Old Kingdom funerary culture in general aspects (collective) and in specific cases (individual). Simultaneously it reveals possible local variations, mainly among the large necropoleis of Saqqara and Giza.</p> <p>The data are digitized in a database called MastaBase, published on this cd-rom. Thanks to the standardisation of the material offered in the MastaBase, with this cd-rom it is now possible to gain quick oversights into various different aspects of these tombs and their decoration via extensive selection procedures.</p>

Polidoc.net CODEBOOK: National and Regional Manifestos and other Political Documents Collected for the Research Projects "Representation in Europe: Congruence between Preferences of Elites and Voters" (REPCONG) and "The Impact of EU Cohesion Policy on European Identification" (COHESIFY)

<p>The Political Documents Archive http://www.polidoc.net/&nbsp;contains election manifestos, coalition agreements, government declarations and various other documents of political actors from developed democracies. Currently, the archive builds on a stock of more than 3000 political documents from 20 European countries. The aim of the repository is to provide political texts in order to facilitate scholarly research in different areas of comparative politics such as party competition, coalition politics, legislative decision-making or electoral behavior.</p> <p>National electoral manifestos have been collected in the course of the REPCONG project (&quot;Representation in Europe: Policy Congruence between Citizens and Elites&quot;), and the archive includes party manifestos for regional elections in several European democracies. Because the process of European integration resulted in a strengthening of regions in EU member states and in countries that want to join the European Union, the relevance of the regional level for political decision-making has increased during the last decades. Therefore, also the policy profiles of regional parties are required to get a full picture of democratic responsiveness in European states across all levels of the political system. The collection of regional manifestos was supported by the COHESIFY project (www.cohesify.eu), funded under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The aim of COHESIFY is to study whether the European Structural and Investment Funds affect people&rsquo;s support for and identification with the European project.</p> <p>The archive is freely accessible (after a simple registration) and meant to foster rigorous research in these areas by enabling scholars to produce valid and reliable findings from empirical studies of textual data rather than unnecessarily struggling to obtain and process texts.</p>

Data used in the manuscript - A Hierarchical Approach for Evaluating Athlete Performance with an Application in Elite Basketball

<p>The database&nbsp;contains several datasets and files with NBA statistical data spanning four seasons (2015-2016 to 2018-2019). These datasets were procured from the Basketball Reference database (https://www.basketball-reference.com/), a publicly accessible source of NBA data.&nbsp;</p> <p>The main file, `dat.cleaned.csv`, includes the Win/Loss records for all thirty NBA teams, along with box scores and advanced statistics. The data captured over the four seasons correspond to about 4,920 regular-season games. A distinguishing feature of this dataset is the repeated measurements per player within a team across the seasons. However, it&#39;s important to note that these repeated measurements are not independent, necessitating the use of hierarchical modelling to properly handle the data.</p> <p>Two sets of additional text files (`per_2017.txt`, `per_2018.txt`, `rpm_2017.txt`, `rpm_2018.txt`) provide specific metrics for player performance. The &#39;PER&#39; files contain the Athlete Efficiency Rating (PER) for the years 2017 and 2018. The &#39;RPM&#39; files contain the ESPN-developed score called Real Plus-Minus (RPM) for the same years.</p> <p>However, potential biases or limitations within the datasets should be acknowledged. For instance, the Basketball Reference website might not include data from some matches or may exclude certain variables, potentially affecting the quality and accuracy of the dataset.&nbsp;</p>

Data for: The transmission ability in a population of elite tetraploid potatoes

<p>Data set for the research article: Assessing the transmission potential of elite tetraploid potatoes.</p> <p>The dataset includes pedigree and phenotypic data of 5013 clones of an F1 population derived from an incomplete diallel cross of 18 parents of either established cultivars or elite breeding material from Danespo A/S across three market segments (starch, processing, and table). A total of 10 phenotypes are included, namely dry matter content, yield, senescence, skin finish, flesh color, length/width ratio, length, diameter, tubers/plant, and eye depth. In addition, GBS genotype data for a set of 93,170 biallelic SNPs filtered to MAF &gt; 1 %, coverage &gt; 5 and &lt; 60, and missing rate &lt; 70 %. Pedigree (A), genomic (G), and single-step combined (H) matrices are included.&nbsp; A README file is included with descriptions of all provided data files.&nbsp;</p>

ELITE land surface temperature: hourly seamless 0.02° LST over East Asia (2021)

<p>The <strong>E</strong>ssential therma<strong>L</strong> <strong>I</strong>nfrared remo<strong>T</strong>e s<strong>E</strong>nsing (<strong>ELITE</strong>) product suite currently has four types of products, including land surface temperature (LST: clear-sky and all-sky), emissivity (NBE: narrowband emissivity; BBE: broadband emissivity; and spectral emissivity), the component of surface radiation and energy budget (SLUR: surface longwave upwelling radiation; SLDR: surface longwave downward radiation SLDR; SLNR: surface longwave net radiation), and the component of Earth&rsquo;s radiation budget (OLR; outgoing longwave radiation; RSR: reflected solar radiation). The spatial-temporal resolutions of the ELITE products are mainly determined by the employed satellite data sources. For more information about ELITE products, please refer to the website (<a href="https://elite.bnu.edu.cn">https://elite.bnu.edu.cn</a>).</p> <p>This dataset is the ELITE hourly seamless 0.02 &deg; LST dataset over East Asia (2016-2021). Firstly, the iTES algorithm is employed to retrieve the Himawari-8/AHI LST. Secondly, the CLDAS LST is corrected to eliminate its system deviation. Finally, the multi-scale Kalman filter is employed to fuse Himawari-8/AHI LST and the bias-corrected CLDAS LST to generate 0.02 &deg; hourly seamless LST. The in situ validation results show that the root mean square error (RMSE) of the seamless LST is about 3k.
