Data from DIAMAS follow-up survey about funding practices

The WP5 team of the DIAMAS project designed a follow-up survey to investigate the funding
practices of IPSPs more deeply. We examined the proportion of Diamond publishing within the
same IPSP by output type, and the capability to plan for the future. We also enquired about
spending priorities, reasons for fundraising and the amount of work required, and asked about
views on institutional publishing funding.

The project sent the follow-up survey to respondents of the DIAMAS survey (metadata and
aggregated data available here) who agreed to be contacted. Emails used unique identifiers,
enabling us to merge databases and easily recover information gathered from the first survey
for more advanced cross-analysis.

This follow-up survey was open during the last two months of 2023 and successfully garnered
469 answers. After cleaning (mainly deleting blank surveys and duplicates), we retained 383
relevant answers, a response rate of 56%.

Estimated life-cycle-based environmental indicators and social indicators for companies and investment funds

The data files represent the 26 estimated life-cycle-based indicators for a sample of companies and funds, obtained using the methodology described in the linked journal article. The files SD1 and SD2 contain the individual values estimated for the fund and company samples. These estimates are based on the methodology described in the linked article. The data herein is the source for producing all figures of the paper. All companies and funds have been anonymized, as the data is sourced from proprietary databases. At the same link, supplementary file SD3 contains the summary statistics and comparison of sustainable funds versus conventional funds sample. The file SD4 contains the data used to create Figure 4. The file SD5 contains sample data to create Figure 5. The file SD6 contains sample data to create Figure 6. Additional more detailed data can be provided upon reasonable request, but cannot be publicly disclosed as it contains data from licenced databases.

3PFL: Database of Patents and Publications with a Public-Funding Linkage

The 3PFL database links information on patented inventions and scientific publications related to a public procurement contract or a research grant awarded by the U.S. Federal Government to detailed contract-level/grant-level information (e.g., awarding agency, recipient organization, award size). We have combined data from multiple sources, including (but not limited to) the United States Patent and Trademark Office bulk database, the Federal Procurement Database System, the Award Submission Portal (ASP), and the European Patent Office's PATSTAT database. We also provide a link to the scientific publications associated with these patents. The 3PFL database provides rich and original information that opens the door to novel empirical research in the economics of innovation and science.

EnergyPROSPECTS Energy Citizenship Factsheet Series, Part 4: Funding

This document is Part 4 of the EnergyPROSPECTS Factsheet Series. We have created the Series to publish the results of a mapping of energy citizenship in Europe, along with the first stage of our analysis of the respective data. The EnergyPROSPECTS consortium mapped 596 cases of energy citizenship between November 2020 and May 2021 using desk research, collecting data on many aspects of the cases. Although the analysis is a work in progress, we believe it is important to share our data and, through doing this, contribute to the understanding of energy citizenship in Europe.

EnergyPROSPECTS (PROactive Strategies and Policies for Energy Citizenship Transformation), a H2020 project between 2021-2024, works with a critical understanding of energy citizenship that is grounded in state-of-the-art social sciences and humanities (SSH) insights.
