Simple Steam Engine (GWR 4300)
Not too familiar with railway makers but this is a Birdcage 43xx based on the amazing blueprints I found here: http://www.greatwestern.org.uk I don't care if you give attribution, just have fun with this. There's a real lack of steam locomotives on this site and we GOTTA FIX IT, MAN! Definitely not perfect (and its missing the tinder) but it's still pretty good. Topology isn't amazing but hey doesn't it look great in a render? (tho the topology is probably terrible because of the crew cabin and the main assembly. Just serparate everything and it can probably be fixed, but everything works pretty well if its all just merged together.) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Simple Steam Engine 3 (GWR 4400 Class)
After 10 incredibly long months, I'm proud to present yet another low=poly steam engine. It was an interesting experience getting back into modelling, and I'd like to thing that this came out pretty well. The railing is a little wonky so i may revist this model in the future, but it should be sufficient for your digital steam engine needs... whatever those are. As always, the cabin was the hardest part to get right, but by the grace of God it came out alright. It may not have been the best decision to combine the smokebox and crew cabin, but I wanted to avoid Z-fighting in the final product. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Simple Tender Car (Standard-Gauge GWR)
This car is part of my first excursion deeper into the world of steam, and mostly exists because I didn't want to include this model in the uploads for my steam engine models. It just feels better to have the models be their own things, so this one has been designed for reuse. Full disclosure, this model was designed to be compatible with my steam engines (as in the couplings do indeed roughly match in size to say, the 4300). It likely won't find with any other model you see on this site because I never used those as reference lol. But modification is welcomed to these models. Since they're not perfect. This would certainly look better with texturing, and it'll probably be used in one of my first forays into the medium. Fun stuff, but enjoy this for now folks. Simple Steam Engine 2 (GWR 5700 Class)
Back again with another steam engine. This is MUCH better than my least endeavor in steam modelling with the GWR 4300 class. This features a respectably-made crew cabin and couplings at the back. WOW! The bare minimum! (Still no tinder tho, but I'm working on that lol). Have fun with this one. This isn't Duck, by the way. This is a modified version of the GWR 5700 that's presumably more powerful than the standard light goods and shunting version. Duck is just a shunter in the show from what I can tell and his design is pretty faithful to the pannier-tank archetype. Very proud of this model, and although it's not the best thing in the world, it's still a respectable engine. More to come from my series of steam, but I'll be taking a break from trains to bring you infrastructure: tracks suited for my models, as well as actual tinders for them with fitting couplings. And probably some warehouses and likely after a redux of my 4300, which sorely needs it (have you seen that crew cabin? Disgraceful topology.) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
