A treatise on the subdivision of knowledge, by <a href="http://worldcat.org/identities/lccn-n88286025/">SAIYID SHAR&Icirc;F JURJ&Acirc;N&Icirc;</a>. It is termed in the colophon الرسالة الشريفة الشريفية قدس سره فى تقسيم العلم . Cf. Ḥ. Kh. iii. 382 (?).</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>اللهم ارنا الاشياء كما هی اعلم ان فى تقسيم العلم مذاهب اربعة</p> <p>After having explained the four ways in which knowledge has been divided by the different schools, the author proceeds to say (fol. 4):</p> <p>اذا عرفت هذا فنقول تقسيم المص رحمه الله لا يصح الخ</p> <p>This is a gloss on the beginning of the introduction (مقدمه) of the <a href="https://id.loc.gov/resources/works/23143811.html"><em>Shams&icirc;yah</em></a> [of&nbsp;<a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/nr93027510.html">ʻAlī ibn ʻUmar&nbsp;</a><a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/nr93027510.html">Qazwīnī</a>, d. 1276-77], which nearly agrees with the latter portion of his gloss on the words of&nbsp;<a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/nr91037727.html">Ḳuṭb al-d&icirc;n</a>&rsquo;s commentary واما على راى الحكماء (=p. ١٣ of the Calcutta edition, cf. no. <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5295823">507</a>).</p> <p>The colophon bears the double date, 15th Dhu&rsquo;l-ḳa&rsquo;dah, 932,¹ and Jum. I., 980.</p> <p><em>b</em>. (foll. 5<em>v</em>.-10.) Glosses on <em>Ḳuṭb al-d&icirc;n&rsquo;s</em> Commentary, and on <em>Jurj&acirc;n&icirc;&rsquo;s</em> Glosses on the aforesaid passage of the <em>Shams&icirc;yah</em>.</p> <p>Beginning:</p> <p>بسم ... و بالله التوفيق وبيده ازمّة التحقيق قال المش (الشارح.r) المشهور فيما بين القوم الخ</p> <p>Conclusion:</p> <p>ثم التاليف (!) الرسالة يوم الاربعاء الثالث و العشرين من ربيع الاخر سنة تسع و عشرين و تسعمائة تمت الرسالة الحنيفية الحننفية (!) على بحث تقسيم العلم ٩٨٠</p> <p>The author is perhaps <a href="https://www.qalamos.net/receive/MyMssPerson_agent_00002327">MUḤAMMAD ḤANAF&Icirc; Tabr&icirc;z&icirc; </a>(cf. Ḥ. Kh. i. 210 and 211).</p> <p><strong>II. Foll.</strong> 11-14. A Gloss on a passage near the beginning of <em>Jurj&acirc;n&icirc;&rsquo;s</em> Glosses on <em>Ḳuṭb al-d&icirc;n&rsquo;s</em> Commentary on the <em>Shams&icirc;yah</em> (p.٣, Calcutta ed.).</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>اقول و بالله التوفيق و بيده ازمّة التحقيق قوله قيل عليه قيل هذا الاعتراض الخ</p> <p>The colophon runs as follows:</p> <p>تمت الرسالة الشريفة الحنيفة على بحث تمام المشترك فى اواسط شهر جماد الاول سنة ٩٨٠</p> <p>The author, accordingly, seems to be the aforesaid ḤANAF&Icirc;.</p> <p><strong>III. Foll.</strong> 15-17. Glosses on the passage of <em>Jurj&acirc;n&icirc;</em>, immediately following the preceding one, probably by the same author.</p> <p>Colophon:</p> <p>تمت الرسالة الحنفية الحنيفة على بحث توقف الشروع فى العلم على الشروع فى المقدمة شهر جماد الاول سنة ٩٨٠</p> <p>The beginning is wanting; the first words are: ان ما هو خارج عنه.</p> <p><strong>IV. Foll. </strong>18-20. A short treatise on argument, styled in the colophon:</p> <p>الرسالة الشريفة الشريفة (!) الحنفية الحنيفة على بحث الدلالة.</p> <p>It begins:</p> <p>و اعلم انهم حصروا الدلالة اللفظية الوضعية فى المطابقة و التضمن و الالتزام</p> <p><strong>V. Foll.</strong> 21-22.
