Seventeen lines in a page.</p> <p>A Commentary (ممزوج) on the second and third parts, or Physics and Metaphysics, of Ath&icirc;r al-d&icirc;n Mufaḍḍal b. &lsquo;Omar <em>Abhar&icirc;&rsquo;s</em>² (d. A.H. 663) الهدایة, by Kam&acirc;l al-d&icirc;n Ḥusain b. Mu&rsquo;&icirc;n al-d&icirc;n MAIBUDH&Icirc;³ (also called Ḳ&acirc;ḍi M&icirc;r). Cf. Ḥ. Kh. vi. 474, Cat. St. Petersb. 208, and Cat. Bodl. ii. 611.</p> <p>This commentary was printed at Clacutta and at Lakhnau. According to a note at the end of the latter edition, it was composed A. H. 880.</p> <p>The preface begins: الهدایة امر من لدیه، و کل شئ یعود الیه. The author mentions in it that this is his first work. The first part of the <em>Hid&acirc;yah</em>, on Logic, having become disused in his time, he excluded it from his present task. He also omitted those passages which had already been sufficiently explained by earlier commentators.</p> <p>The two parts (قسم) of the <em>Hid&acirc;yah</em> comprised in this commentary are subdivided into the following chapters (فنّ): Part II. الطبیعیات (foll. 5-71): 1. (fol. 6) فیما یعم الاجسام, in ten فصل; 2. (fol. 36) فی الفلکیات, in eight فصل; 3 (fol. 54) فی العنصریات, in six فصل,-Part III. الالهیات (foll. 72-104): 1. فی تقاسیم الوجود, in seven فصل; 2. (foll. 87) فی العلم بالصانع و صفاته, in ten فصل; 3. (foll. 97<em>v</em>.) فی الملائکة, in four فصل. To this follows an appendix (خاتمة, fol. 104) فی احوال النشأة الآخرة.</p> <p>Well written in Nasta&rsquo;liḳ, with marginal notes, partly derived from the author. Dated Rajab, 1005.
