<p>EUCLID’S <em>φαινομενα</em><em>.</em> See Ḥ. Kh. v. 113, who gives the introductory words of the editor, as found in this MS., where they are preceded by the words يقول محرّر هذا الكتاب .Cf. Wenrich , 182 . Another version is to be found in Cat. Lugd. iii. 78.</p>
<p>IV.Foll. 87-110. كتاب اوطولوقوس فى الطلوع و الغروب من اصلاح ثابت و هو مقالتان و ستة و ثلثون شكلا.</p>
<p>AUTOLYCUS <em>περι</em><em> έπιτολων και δνσεων</em>, as revised by <em>Thâbit</em> b. Ḳurrah. See Ḥ. Ḳh. v. 112; Wenrich, 208; and also Cat. Lugd. iii. 79.</p>

<p>VI. Foll. 118-238. ARCHIMEDES <em>περι</em><em> της σφαιρας και κυλινδρου</em>كتاب الكرة و الاسطوانة , according to the version of <em>Thâbit</em> b. Ḳurrah and <em>Isḥâḳ</em> b. Ḥunain, with a commentary, which is chiefly derived from that of Eutocius of Ascalon اوطيوقيوس العسقلانى ; followed (fol.231<em>v</em>.) by the Archimedean treatise <em>κυκλου</em> <em>μετρησις</em>فى تكسير الدائرة . Cf. Ḥ. Kh. v. 150; Wenrich, 190 sq.; Cat. Lugd. iii. 57.</p>
<p>The history of this edition is given in the preface of the editor , which begin: اقول بعد تحميد الله و تمجيده ... انى كنت فى طلب الوقوف على بعض المسائل المذكورة فى كتاب الكرة و الاسطوانة لارشميدس زمانا طويلا الخ.</p>
<p>At the end of the second مقالة we also find the appendix of Abu Sahl Waijan Ḳûhî.<sup>1</sup></p>
<p>Ends: و ذلك ما اردناه فهذا ما اورده ابو سهل القوهى تمت المقالة الثانية و تم بتمامها كتاب الكرة و الاسطوانة لارشميدس .</p>
<p>Then follows immediately the second treatise, inscribed: مقالة ارشميدس فى تكسير الدائرة و هى ثلثة اشكال.</p>
<p>An elegant copy, written in Nasta’liḳ, of the twelfth century. The treatises II.-V. were revised between 9th and 11th Jumâda I.<sup>2</sup> The first two pages are richly ornamented and gilt. Gold and coloured lines round the other pages.</p>
