He wrote this account of his life in A.H. 1154 (A.D. 1741), see fol. 159<sup>a</sup>, l. 7.</p> <p>Beginning: نحمده و نسأله التقى و نعتصم بعروة الوثقى و نصلّى على سيّدنا المصطفى و آله الخ .</p> <p>The above title is found in Rieu i. p. 372. Other titles, given to this book, are تذكرۀ شیخ محمّد على حزين , in Bodleian Cat., No. 383; تأريخ احوال شيخ حزين , in A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 141; and حالات شيخ على حزين , on the fly-leaf of this copy. An English translation of it was published by F.C. Belfour, London, 1830; the Persian text by the same, London, 1831.</p> <p>Dated the 8th of Rabî’-alawwal, A.H. 1227 (A.D. 1812, March 23), at Lucknow, by پيدرو شوير بوتيس عيسوى بن فراسيكو شوير بوتيس , who copied it for مشتر ( ! ) بيلونهرى .
