(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 2344&nbsp; here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>1417</p> <p>Fut&ucirc;ḥ-alḥaramain (فتوح الحرمين).</p> <p>A poetical description of the two holy cities, Makkah and Mad&icirc;nah, and of the observances during the pilgrimage, by Muḥy&icirc; L&acirc;r&icirc;, one of the pupils of learned Daw&acirc;n&icirc; (who died A.H. 908 = A.D. 1502, 1503, see Haft Iḳl&icirc;m, No. 167, col. 390 in this Cat.). A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 451, ascribes this poem wrongly to J&acirc;m&icirc; (see on the origin of this mistake Rieu ii. p. 655), and the same has been done on fol. 1^a of No. 887 (1420 in this Cat.). According to the Vienna copy (G. Fl&uuml;gel ii. p. 122) it was composed A.H. 911 (A.D. 1505, 1506); the poet died A.H. 933 (A.D. 1526, 1527); see Haft Iḳl&icirc;m, No. 268 (col. 398 in this Cat.), and Ḥ. Khalfa iv. p. 385, No. 8922; comp. also for further details on Muḥy&icirc; and his work, Rieu ii. p. 655; W. It has been lithographed at Lucknow, A.H. 1292.</p> <p>Beginning:</p> <p>اى همه كس را بدرت التجا &ndash; كعبۀ دل را زتو نور وصفا</p> <p>The author׳s name, Muḥy&icirc;, appears on fol. 3^b, l. 2.</p> <p>In an entry, on fol. 1^a, this poem is incorrectly styled مناسك الحجّ . It is dated the 10th of Sha&rsquo;b&acirc;n, A.H. 1006 (A.D. 1598, March 18), at Makkah, by Im&acirc;m Ḳul&icirc; Ḳandar&icirc; (Ḳunduz&icirc;?) bin Daulatḳadam; it was bought of Sayyid Ḥusain at M&icirc;l&acirc;p&ucirc;r the 11th of Rab&icirc;&rsquo;-alawwal, A.H. 1187 (A.D. 1773, June 2).
