<p>Ṭabaḳât-i-Shâhjahânî (طبقات شاهجهانى ).</p>
<p>A large collection of succinct biographies of all the great Sayyids, Shaikhs, Saints, Ḥakîms, ‘Ulamâs, and poets, who flourished from the beginning of Tîmûr’s reign down to the reign of the emperor Shâhjahân, compiled about A.H. 1046 (A.D. 1636, 1637) by Muḥammad Ṣâdiḳ, and dedicated to Shâhjahân (A.H. 1037-1068=A.D. 1627-1658), comp. Rieu iii. p. 1009; Elliot, History of India, vii. p. 133. It is divided into ten ṭabaḳât (every one containing three bâbs), viz.:</p>
<p>Ṭabaḳah I: Famous men in Tîmûr’s reign (A.H. 770-807 =A.D. 1369-1405), on fol. 6<sup>a</sup> (bâb II, on fol. 23<sup>b</sup>; bâb III, on fol. 30<sup>a</sup>).</p>
<p>Ṭabaḳah II: Famous men, who lived under Mirzâ Mîrânshâh and died under Sulṭân Shâhrukh (A.H. 807-850=A.D. 1405-1447), on fol. 40<sup>a</sup> (bâb II, on fol. 63<sup>a</sup>; bâb III, on fol. 75<sup>b</sup>).</p>
<p>Ṭabaḳah III: Famous men under Sulṭân Muḥammad bin Mirzâ Mîrânshâh and Mirzâ Ulughbeg bin Mirzâ Shâhrukh (A.H. 850-853 =A.D. 1447-1449), on fol.85<sup>b</sup> (bâb II, on fol. 95<sup>a</sup>; bâb III, on fol. 102<sup>b</sup>).</p>
