(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 360 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>912</p> <p>D&icirc;w&acirc;n-i-Mu&rsquo;izz&icirc; (ديوان معزّى).</p> <p>The complete lyrical poems of Amir Ab&ucirc; &lsquo;Abdall&acirc;h, or Ab&ucirc;bakr Mu&rsquo;izz&icirc;, the panegyrist of Sulṭ&acirc;n Maliksh&acirc;h and king of poets at Sanjar&rsquo;s court. His original name was Muḥammad bin &lsquo;Abd-almalik, and his father,&rsquo;Abd-almalik Burh&acirc;n&icirc;, had been a court-poet of Alp Arsl&acirc;n Salj&ucirc;ḳ&icirc;, Malikshah&rsquo;s father and predecessor (A.H. 455-465=A.D. 1063-1072); three places compete for the honour of being his native town, viz. Nish&acirc;p&ucirc;r (see Butkh&acirc;na, No. 9, in Bodleian Cat., col. 198 ; Khaz&acirc;na-i-&rsquo;&acirc;mirah, ib., col. 259 ; Makhzan-alghar&acirc;&rsquo;ib, No. 2247, ib., col. 370; Khushg&ucirc;&rsquo;s Safinah, Haft Iḳlim, No. 747, and the short biographical notice prefixed to the following copy), Nas&acirc; (in Daulatsh&acirc;h and the tadhkirah described in W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 479, No. 132), and Samarḳand (in Taḳ&icirc; K&acirc;sh&icirc;, see A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 16, No. 12, and &Acirc;tashkada, No. 744 in Bodleian Cat., col. p. 287). He was killed by a stray arrow from Sanjar&rsquo;s bow, A.H. 542 (A.D. 1147, 1148). Other copies of his d&icirc;w&acirc;n are described in Rieu ii. p. 552^b; A. Sprenger, Catal., pp. 501 and 502, and G.
