(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 569 here with notations and hyperlinks].</li> </ul> <p>1713</p> <p>Ghazaliyy&acirc;t-i-Ḥaz&icirc;n (غزليّات حزين).</p> <p>A large collection of ghazals only, in alphabetical order, by Ḥaz&icirc;n, beginning, on fol. 9^b (as in the preceding copy): درين درياى الخ. They were transcribed in the very year of Ḥaz&icirc;n&rsquo;s death, A.H. 1180. On ff. 1^b-8^a another hand has written in diagonal lines a series of ḳaṣ&icirc;das and ḳiṭ&rsquo;as by the same Ḥaz&icirc;n, beginning, on fol. 1^b:</p> <p>مسخّر كرده حسن فتنه گر دلهاى مفتنونرا</p> <p>سواد داغ سودا خيمۀ ليليست مجنونرا</p> <p>This additional part is dated in the month Shaww&acirc;l, A.H. 1172 (A.D. 1759, June). Another complete copy of Ḥazin&rsquo;s ghazals is described in W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 945; a large series of them, ib., p. 699, No. 23.</p> <p>The present copy belonged originally to Mr. Richard Johnson.</p> <p>No. 569, ff. 321, 2 coll., each ll. 17; irregular Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; the first eight leaves written by another hand diagonal lines; size, 11^1/2 in. by 5^5/8 in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
