A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 463, and Bodleian Cat., No. 581.</p> <p>Beginning of the preface (different from that in Sprenger): حمدى كه كتاب ستايش و شرح نيايش را عنوان زيبد و اجزاى تحسين و اوراق آفرين را شيرازه بندد مر متكلّمى را الخ.</p> <p>The first verse of the mathnaw&icirc;, commented upon, is the usual initial bait: مائيم نظارگان الخ, on fol. 6<sup>a</sup>.</p> <p>Another commentary on the same mathnaw&icirc;, by Ghul&acirc;m Muḥammad, is noticed in Bodleian Cat., No. 580.</p> <p>This copy was finished the 17th of Dh&ucirc;-alḳa&rsquo;dah, A.H. 1059 (A.D. 1649, Nov. 22), only two years after the completion of the commentary.</p> <p>No. 642, ff. 159, ll. 17; irregular Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ, by two different hands, as it seems; size, 9 in. by 4&frac12; in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
