(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 90&nbsp;here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>1232</p> <p>D&icirc;w&acirc;n-i-Badr-i-Ćać (ديوان بدر چاچ).</p> <p>The lyrical poems of Badr-ald&icirc;n (or according to Khwashg&ucirc;, Fakhr-ald&icirc;n) Muḥammad of Ćać or Sh&acirc;sh (the modern T&acirc;shkand, also called Ban&acirc;kit), usually called Badr-i-Ćać , the full moon of Ćać, who was the panegyrist of Sulṭ&acirc;n Muḥammad bin Tughluḳ (A.H. 725-752=A.D. 1325-1351), and died after A.H. 746 (A.D. 1345, 1346); see Haft Iḳl&icirc;m, No. 1532 (col. 495 in this Cat.); Bodleian Cat., No. 793; Rieu iii. pp. 1031^b, 1032^a, 1046^a; A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 367; Elliot, History of India, iii. pp. 567-573 (where some of his poems are translated). Besides his lyrical poems, he composed a شاهنامه in honour of the exploits of his patron, completed A.H. 745 (A.D. 1344, 1345), see Rieu iii. p. 1032^a; the same date occurs in his d&icirc;w&acirc;n, see A. Sprenger, loc. cit.; the last date that can be traced in his ḳaṣ&icirc;das is A.H. 746, see Rieu iii. p. 1046^a.</p> <p>The d&icirc;w&acirc;n contains chiefly ḳaṣ&icirc;das, with a few ghazals, ḳiṭ&rsquo;as, and rub&acirc;&rsquo;&icirc;s at the end; beginning:</p> <p>حمد آن سلطان عالم را كه عالم پرور است</p> <p>اُنس او در راه وحدت اِنس و جانرا رهبر است</p> <p>According to A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 368, the whole d&icirc;w&acirc;n has appeared in a lithographed edition, with glosses and a vocabulary, Lucknow, A.H. 1261; the ḳaṣ&icirc;das have besides been lithographed in Cawnpore, A.H. 1261, and (with a commentary) in R&acirc;mp&ucirc;r, A.H. 1289.</p> <p>No date.
