A new Geo-Lithological Map (Geo-LiM) for Central Europe (Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Northern Italy)
<p><strong>We introduce a new geo-lithological map of Central Europe (Geo-LiM) elaborated adopting a lithological classification compliant to the methods more used in the litterature for estimating the consumption of atmospheric CO2 due by chemical weathering. <br> Geo-LiM represents a novelty if compared with published global geo-lithological maps. The first novelty is due by the attention paid in discriminating metamorphic rocks that were classified according to the chemistry of protoliths. The second novelty is that the procedure used for the definition of the map is made available on the web to allow the replicability and reproducibility of the product.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Data repository for <em>How unusual was Australia's 2017–2019 Tinderbox Drought?</em></strong></p> <p>This repository contains LIM data underpinning the paper <em>How unusual was Australia's 2017–2019 Tinderbox Drought?</em> [doi: 10.1016/j.wace.2024.100734 <a title="Persistent link using digital object identifier" href="https://doi.org/10.1016/j.wace.2024.100734" target="_blank" rel="noopener">available online in <em>Weather and Climate Extremes</em> 17 October 2024</a>]. Human LIM domain kinase 1 (LIMK1), kinase domain; A Target Enabling Package
<p>Loss of the translational repressor FMRP in fragile X syndrome causes upregulation of the type II BMP receptor BMPR2 and its non-canonical signalling via the kinase LIMK1. LIMK1 performs inhibitory phosphorylation on cofilin proteins blocking their actin-severing activity. Excessive BMPR2-LIMK1 activation was associated with dendritic spine and behavioural defects in animal models that could be rescued by BMPR2 knockdown or LIMK1 inhibition. Here we present a target enabling package for the therapeutic target LIMK1. We include crystal structures of BMPR2, LIMK1, LIMK2 and the LIMK1-cofilin complex, as well as multiple assays for small molecule inhibitor screening. Finally, we identify a series of allosteric LIMK1 inhibitors with promising potency and selectivity that may potentially allow the development of a safe drug for this chronic indication.</p>
