FIGURE 3. Pelagobia rubromaculata sp. nov. (based on all type material). (A) anterior end, ventral view, chaetae are not shown, (B) jaws, (C) parapodium of the third segment, (D) heterogomph compound chaetae with serrated shaft. E, general view, chaetae are not shown. Abbreviations: ac—acicula, an—antennae, dc—dorsal cirrus, ey—eyes, no—nuchal organ, p—palps, tc—tentacular cirri, vc—ventral cirri.
FIGURE 5 in A new species of Pelagobia (Lopadorrhynchidae, Annelida), with some notes on literature records of Pelagobia longicirrata Greeff, 1879
FIGURE 5. Pelagobia rubromaculata sp. nov. SEM. (A) lateral view of anterior end of the paratype ZMMU MSU WS14777, (B) posterior end of the paratype ZMMU MSU WS14776. Abbreviations: an—antennae, dc—dorsal cirrus, p—palps, pc—pygidial cirri, ph—everted pharynx, py—pygidium, tc—tentacular cirri, tp—terminal papillae, vc—ventral cirri. Arrow shows compound chaetae of tentacular segment, numbers indicate post-tentacular segments. D—dorsal side, V—ventral side.
FIGURE 7 in A new species of Pelagobia (Lopadorrhynchidae, Annelida), with some notes on literature records of Pelagobia longicirrata Greeff, 1879
FIGURE 7. Phylogenetic tree based on the concatenated 18S and 28S genes dataset representing relationships between Pelagobia rubromaculata sp. nov. and Pelagobia longicirrata from different localities (sequences from GenBank). Red numbers above branches indicate bootstrap values from Maximum Likelihood (ML), black numbers below—posterior probabilities from Bayesian Interference (BI). Here we use the qualifier "aggr." for a group of very similar, closely related species still waiting for critical revision to clarify the diagnostic traits and taxa involved, and the qualifier "aff." for the species having some affinity to a known species but it is not identical to it (Sigovini et al. 2016).
