Exemple of a valorization network based on a 10% collection rate from potential biowaste in the Grand Lyon territory (France).

This study, conducted in the frame of the H2020 DECISIVE project, aims at developing a method to design a decentralized and small-scale AD (mAD) network in urban and peri-urban areas. A mixed integer linear program (MILP) was set up based on the proposed system. It aims at minimizing the impacts of the biowaste and the digestate transportation by minimizing their payload-distances while taking into account notably the technical constraints of the newly developed micro-AD. A Geographic Information System (GIS) based methodology was developed to feed the MILP model with very fine-scale data required to optimized a proximity treatment system. The method allows to locate and estimate the biowaste generation and to locate the digestate outlets, the agricultural areas, and to estimate the maximal amount of digestate usable. The candidate sites for mAD are identified with a GIS multi-criteria analysis that includes the environmental regulations, some urban planning rules and the site accessibility and heat outlet valorization. The method developed is successfully applied in the territory of The Grand Lyon Metropole (534 km²), located in France. The MILP model succeeds at providing a solution even with the very large problem studied (≥108 possible combination). Different scenarios can be easily tested to meet the potential needs of the stakeholder: the quantity of biowaste to treat, the type of sources to target, the synergy with the current treatment solution, etc.

The data are provided through the open, non-proprietary GeoPackage files (GPKG) commonly recognized in GIS tools. A complementary xml file describe the metadata in compliance with the Inspire directive. A complementary pdf file describe the fields of the datasets.

ERC Locus Ludi. Opening of the Exhibition Ludique ! Jouer dans l'Antiquité in Lyon

Movie: Daniela Ventrelli

More about: www.locusludi.ch

hospital-lyon

Overview

This dataset contains the temporal network of contacts between patients, between patients and healthcare workers (HCWs), and among HCWs in a hospital ward in Lyon, France, from Monday, December 6, 2010, at 1:00 pm to Friday, December 10, 2010, at 2:00 pm. The study included 46 HCWs and 29 patients.

Timestamps were recorded in 20-second intervals. In the original data, each line has the form "t i j Si Sj", where i and j are the anonymous IDs of the persons in contact, Si and Sj are their labels (NUR=paramedical staff, i.e. nurses and nurses' aides; PAT=Patient; MED=Medical doctor; ADM=administrative staff), and the interval during which this contact was active is [ t – 20s, t ]. We form hyperedges through cliques of simultaneous contacts. Specifically, for every unique timestamp in the dataset, we construct a hyperedge for every maximal clique amongst the contact edges that exist for that timestamp. All timestamps are in standard ISO8601 format.

Statistics

number of nodes: 75 (46 HCWs and 29 patients)

number of timestamped hyperedges: 21,398

there is a single connected component of size 75

Source of original data

Hospital ward dynamic contact network

References

If you use this dataset, please cite the following:

Estimating Potential Infection Transmission Routes in Hospital Wards Using Wearable Proximity Sensors. Infiltration campaign in the Mercier sub-catchment (Yzeron catchment, periphery of Lyon France)

This study was part of the AVuPUR project (Assessing the Vulnerability of PeriUrban catchments, 2008-2011), dedicated to the observation and understanding of the impact of urbanization on the hydrological cycle in periurban catchments. We provide the results of a field campaign conducted in the Mercier catchment, a sub-catchment of the Yzeron catchment located in the Monts du Lyonnais, in the western part of Lyon city, France. The campaign was dedicated to the characterization of top soil hydraulic properties. Some data are also available at -15 and -30 cm depth.
The data set includes 66 sampled points with information of particle size data, dry bulk density and porosity, hydraulic conductivity at saturation and close to saturation for 46 measurement points.
We also provide estimates of the parameters of the retention and hydraulic conductivity curves for the various sample points.

Sample points were selected in the Mercier catchment (6.7 km2) by combining information about geology, land use and pedology. Two types of infiltration experiments were conducted: single ring infiltration tests with a positive pressure at the soil surface (3 replicates)(Beerkan method)_ and mini-disk infiltrometers using a -20 mm suction (0 to 3 replicates).

Dense Crowd Dynamics and Pedestrian Trajectories: A Multiscale Field Study at the Fête des Lumières in Lyon

We present one of the first comprehensive field datasets capturing dense pedestrian dynamics across multiple scales, ranging from macroscopic crowd flows over distances of several hundred meters to microscopic individual trajectories, including approximately 7,000 recorded trajectories.

The dataset also includes a sample of GPS traces, statistics on contact and push interactions, as well as a catalog of non-standard crowd phenomena observed in video recordings. Data were collected during the 2022 Festival of Lights in Lyon, France, within the framework of the French-German MADRAS project, covering pedestrian densities up to 4 individuals per square meter.
