Maximum-likelihood tree (lnL=−37094.311007) showing phylogenetic relationships among Cephalodasys mahoae sp. nov. and 28 other macrodasyidans, inferred from concatenated 18S, 28S, and COI sequences. Xenotrichula intermedia and X. velox (Chaetonotida: Xenotrichulidae) represent the outgroup. The scale indicates branch length in number of substitutions per site. Numbers at nodes are bootstrap value and Bayesian posterior probability. Planodasyidae, Redudasyidae, Thaumastodermatidae, and Turbanellidae were recovered monophyletic, while Cephalodasyidae (shaded) was non-monophyletic.
