Report of the Focus Group with Maghreb-based Stakeholders
<p>As part of the MENARA project, Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) organized a focus group in Rabat (Morocco) on 11 July 2018 with various scholars and experts from the Maghreb and those working in the region. The discussions were linked to the general aims of the MENARA project (to characterize the regional order, define scenarios and discuss the policy options for the EU) and was structured in four parts:<br> 1. Peculiarities and commonalities of the Maghreb in relation to the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region<br> 2. State–society dynamics<br> 3. Regional conflicts<br> 4. The role of the EU and other external actors</p> <p>This report contains the summary of the discussion during the focus group.</p>
