<p>This is the supplemented material to the publication "Mycobacteriosis in Various Pet and Wild Birds from Germany: Pathological Findings, Coinfections, and Characterization of Causative Mycobacteria". <br>The causative agents and confounding factors of mycobacteriosis in a set of pet (n=45) and some wild birds (n=5) from Germany were examined in this study. Not only Mycobacterium genavense (Mg), but also M. avium subsp. avium (Maa) and M. avium subsp. hominissuis (Mah), contributed to mycobacteriosis in these birds. The isolates were characterized by a combination of different typing methods. The genetic diversity of isolates belonging to Mg, Maa and Mah differed. Various coinfections by viruses, endoparasites, fungi and other bacterial species did not affect the manifestation of mycobacteriosis. Cross pathological fidings were more often seen in mycobacteriosis caused by Ma compared to Mg suggesting a different pathogenicity of the two species. New genotypes of Mah were identified in these birds that is important for epidemiological studies and for understanding the zoonotic role of this pathogen, as the subsp. hominissuis represents an increasing public health concern. The study provides some evidence of correlation between individual Maa genotypes and virulence which will have to be confirmed by broader studies.</p>

Data of the characterisation of conventional 87Sr/86Sr isotope ratios in cement, limestone and slate reference materials based on an interlaboratory comparison study
<p>This dataset represents the electronic supplementary material (ESM) of the publication entitled "Characterisation of conventional <sup>87</sup>Sr/<sup>86</sup>Sr isotope ratios in cement, limestone and slate reference materials based on an interlaboratory comparison study", which is published in Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research under the DOI: 10.1111/GGR.12517. It consists of four files. 'ESM_Data.xlsx' contains all reported data of the participants, a description of the applied analytical procedures, basic calculations, the consensus values, and part of the uncertainty assessment. 'ESM_Figure-S1' displays a schematic on how measurements, sequences and replicates are treated for the uncertainty calculation carried out by PTB. 'ESM_Technical-protocol.pdf' is the technical protocol of the interlaboratory comparison, which has been provided to all participants together with the samples and which contains bedside others the definition of the measurand and guidelines for data assessment and calculations. 'ESM_Reporting-template.xlsx' is the Excel template which has been submitted to all participants for reporting their results within the interlaboratory comparison. Excel files with names of the the structure 'GeoReM_Material_Sr8786_Date.xlsx' represent the <em>R</em><sub>con</sub>(<sup>87</sup>Sr/<sup>86</sup>Sr) data for a specific reference material downloaded from GeoReM at the specified date, e.g. 'GeoReM_IAPSO_Sr8786_20221115.xlsx' contains all <em>R</em><sub>con</sub>(<sup>87</sup>Sr/<sup>86</sup>Sr) data for the IAPSO seawater standard listed in GeoReM until 15 November 2022.</p>
Characterisation of post-scrap material from multi-stringer panels
<p>Pre-scrapping material characterisation of multi-stringer panels including raw material characterisation and remelting tests of similar concentration of all raw material present in FSW and LBW demo panels.</p> <p>Research pertaining to Task 4.1 (WP4), Deliverable D16 (D4.3): Analysis of (post) scalable recycled sample.</p> <p>METHODOLOGIES:</p> <p>The chemical composition of all raw material and each remelt sample was analyzed using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) equipment, Thermo Scientific Icap 7400 radial model. Test conditions: power 1250, exposure time 15 s, nebulizer gas flow 0.65 L/min, and 3 samples per measurement.</p> <p>An analysis sample representative of each demo panel with mass between 27 and 31 g was melted in a LIFUMAT—MET 3,3-Vac remelting unit for sample preparation for spectroscopy (LINN), under an argon protective atmosphere (5 L/min flow rate of high purity 99.999% Ar). In every remelting test, the induction furnace was kept switched on for a few additional seconds after observing the full melting of the sample in the crucible. The molten scrap sample was cast in a metallic mold, and the chemical composition of the obtained specimen was analyzed. The metal yield was calculated as the ratio between the metal extracted in the obtained solid sample di-vided by the initial weight of the sample. That means not considering the dross formed during the remelting test.</p>
GEOLAB - Transnational Access project LIWEMAT – Deformation characterisation of LIghtWEight foundation MATerials
<p>Proper use of lightweight materials as construction material for various types of infrastructure brings a lot of advantages to European critical infrastructure related to weight reduction and prevention of progressive heating or freezing of its structural elements.</p> <p>Large-scale Triaxial Apparatus was used to perform the loading tests, which enables the characterization of materials at very small strain ranges with a very high accuracy level of load-displacement control. The apparatus has rigid confining aluminum frames with a height of 3 cm and cross-section of 40 x 40 cm, enabling prismatic specimens with a height of up to 80 cm to be tested.</p> <p>This research aims to determine the characteristics of expanded clay and foamed glass aggregates through laboratory testing, performing cyclic loading for the stiffness and damping evaluation, which would be beneficial parameters for numerical simulations.</p> <p>Testing material</p> <p>The foam glass aggregate has a homogeneous microstructure with approximate uniform shape and sizes. Foam glass aggregate is considered one of the best solid isolation materials with several unique properties. It can be widely used in many applications such as basement walls, foundations, floors and roofs, terrace and garden covers, rooftops, and parking areas.</p> <p>The expanded clay aggregate is round shape with different sizes with small, air-filled cavities, with dark brown, reddish, brown-red or gray colors, which depends on the chemical composition of the expanded clay. The lightweight expanded clay aggregate has bulk density from 250 kg/m<sup>3</sup> to 710 kg/m<sup>3</sup>, mostly dependent on the size of the aggregate.</p> <p> </p>

Characterisation of moisture sorption of materials used in 3D printing
<p>Investigation of environmental effects on properties of polymers and 3D printed structures was performed. The research methodology of moisture sorption and swelling processes was developed and implemented. Full-scale experiments were performed on 12 materials. Degradation of filaments’ mechanical properties under moisture effect was evaluated. A complex analysis of the results was performed, and sorption characteristics of filaments were defined.</p>

<p>A complex of materials’ properties was measured: electrical conductivity, thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, the density of the materials, and the technical density of construction with porosity.</p>

Characterisation of mechanical properties of materials used in 3D printing
<p>The mechanical properties of 19 materials used in 3D printing were experimentally tested. Mechanical properties (mostly elastic modulus and strength, but not only) were obtained and compared for filaments, single-extruded fibres, and dog-bone type specimens printed with printing angles 0, 90° and intermediate angles. Thus, anisotropy of properties was considered. The density, modulus of elasticity, and tensile strength values were compared for all mentioned types of specimens.</p>
