Long term response of arctic tussock tundra to thermal erosion features: A modeling analysis. Tussock tundra regrowth after a thermal erosion event: Simulation H - increased N and P deposition
The Multiple Element Limitation (MEL) model is used to simulate the recovery of Alaskan arctic tussock tundra to thermal erosion features (TEFs) caused by permafrost thaw and mass wasting. TEFs could be significant to regional carbon (C) and nutrient budgets because permafrost soils contain large stocks of soil organic matter (SOM) and TEFs are expected to become more frequent as climate warms. These simulations deal only with recovery following TEF stabilization and do not address initial losses of C and nutrients during TEF formation. To capture the variability among and within TEFs, we simulate a range of post-stabilization conditions by varying the initial size of SOM pools and nutrient supply rates. This file contains the results for 100 years of tussock tundra recovery after a thermal erosion event. This simulation is of TEF recovery with increased N and P deposition compared to the base simulation. Data is presented for day 250 of each year.

WSC - The Influence of Legacy P on Lake Water Quality
Using a suite of numerical models, we investigated the influence of legacy P on water quality in the Yahara Watershed of southern Wisconsin, USA. The suite included Agro-IBIS, a terrestrial ecosystem model; THMB, a hydrologic and nutrient routing model; and the Yahara Water Quality Model which estimates water quality indicators in the Yahara chain of lakes. Using five alternative scenarios of antecedent P storage (legacy P) in soils and channels under historical climate conditions, we simulated outcomes of P yield from the landscape, lake P loading, and three lake water quality indicators. P-S waves 3D velocity model of Los Humeros area from earthquake based travel-time tomography using CAT3D software (OGS)

The dataset contains the 3D velocity model (VP (m/s), VS (m/s) and VP/VS) obtained from the tomographic inversion of seismological data in the area of Los Humeros (Mexico). The model was performed in the frame of the GEMex project (Mexico‐Europe Cooperation for research of enhanced geothermal systems and super-hot geothermal systems, WP5 ‘Detection of deep structures’, Jousset et al., D5.3, 2019).

The inversion used 2661 P arrivals and 2272 S arrivals associated to 395 earthquakes recorded by 37 stations. The picking data was provided by Toledo et al., 2019.

The inversion was performed by CAT3D software, a tomographic tool developed by OGS, which uses the SIRT method (Simultaneous Iterative Reconstruction Technique, Stewart, 1993) as inversion algorithm and the ray tracing procedure based on minimum time principle (Böhm et al., 1999). The velocities used as initial model for tomography were provided by the interpolated values obtained from the velocity analysis of four 2D seismic lines acquired inside the same investigated area by the tomographic inversion (See GEMex deliverable D5.3).

The 3D velocity model is defined by a 3D grid of 61 nodes in X, 69 nodes in Y and 29 nodes in Z, equally spaced by 250 m in all directions. The total dimensions of the model is 15x17x7 km and the borders positions are (m) (WGS 84/UTM ZONE 14N):

Xmin = 655000, Xmax = 670000

Ymin = 2168000, Ymax = 2185000

Zmin = -3000, Zmax = 4000

Satellite-to-Ground QKD SKR dataset for P&M and Entanglement-based Protocols

This dataset provides calculated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for satellite-to-ground quantum key distribution (QKD) links, modeled across Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Orbit (GEO). The LEO orbit is modeled over a two-week period, while MEO and GEO orbits are modeled over a single day, whereas samples are provided with a sampling rate of 10 seconds.

The satellite downlink channel is simulated using two QKD protocols: the Prepare-and-Measure protocol (Decoy-BB84) and the Entanglement-based protocol (BBM92). System specifications align with the LaiQa project source prototype, incorporating SNSPDs as the detection technology and assuming telescope-to-fiber coupling for ground reception.

This dataset includes essential input metrics such as elevation angles for different orbits and various Optical Ground Stations (OGS) over time, along with key output metrics, including Secure Key Rates (SKR), Quantum Bit Error Rate (QBER), and Link Loss. Additionally, a comprehensive PDF guide is provided to assist with data handling and interpretation.

Note: The results that are presented in the READ_ME file provide the volume of distilled keys and the number of distilled AES 256 keys over a time period of two weeks for different satellite orbits.

This file contains point-frame measurements from a nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and N+P fertilization experiment established in the southern section of the 2007 Anaktuvuk River fire in 2016 at a severely burned site and an unburned site. Pin-vegetation contact was recorded using a 0.75 m2 frame with 41 evenly spaced pin-drop points. Data was collected once during the height of the growing season in 2016 (when fertilization began) 2017, 2018 and 2019. This data was used to measure the impact of fertilization and fire on community composition.
