DS1. Simulation transmission studies of Terabit MCMs_POETICS POE-2_v1.0

<p>The dataset presents the simulated received optical waveforms of an optical transceiver system based on EMLs operating at 100 Gbaud with PAM-4 signals in the O-band over distances beginning from 2 km up to 10 km of SSMF with a 2 km interval. Multiple scenarios regarding the bandwidth limitations that the signal faces during the transmission have been examined. The devices that impose the bandwidth limitations and are investigated in these simulations are: the laser driver; the electro-absorption modulator (EAM) part of the EML; the photodiode (PD) and; the transimpedance amplifier (TIA). Square-root raised cosine pulse shaping schemes with various values of the roll-off factor are tested, in order to evaluate the pros and cons in each case.</p>

<p>L* values for the POES N15 spacecraft from 1998-2014 determined by the&nbsp;TS05&nbsp; external magnetic field model. L* calculations were performed by the SpacePy package in Python (<a href="https://spacepy.github.io/">https://spacepy.github.io/</a>).</p> <p>Each year has been broken up into multiple files in chronological number order (beginning at 1) . Edgar Allan Poe house

The rowhouse on Amity St. in Baltimore where the writer Edgar Allan Poe lived from 1833-1835. Fun fact: "In 1979 during the house renovations, workers lifted the floorboards and found skeletal remains, reminiscent of Poe's story "The Tell-Tale Heart." These were found to be animal bones discarded into what is known as a "trash pit" or midden beneath the home." (2012), and—unless indicated (arrows point to problematic taxa)—group membership is identical between the two studies. To conserve space, the Norops portion of Poe's (2004) tree is not shown, but showed clear monophyly for the group, with no associated problematic taxa. "A" (occultus) nested with other taxa in our (2012) genus Deiroptyx in our molecular tree, but diverged at its base in our combined tree. "B" (lucius) nested with our (2012) genus "Anolis" in our combined tree, but was nested with our genus "Xiphosurus" in our (2012) molecular tree. "C" (argenteolus) nested with other Anolis taxa in our combined tree, but nested within Xiphosurus in our molecular tree. "D" (darlingtoni) nested with our (2012) genus Deiroptyx in our molecular tree, but lay at the base of combined tree—we elected to place it within our genus Deiroptyx in our classification. "E" (christophei) nested with other taxa in our (2012) genus Xiphosurus, but we tentatively placed it within our (2012) genus "Chamaelinorops" due to several compelling morphological features (see Nicholson et al. 2012, systematics section, for further explanation). "F" (spectrum) nested within our (2012) genus "Chamaelinorops" in our combined tree, but we lacked molecular data for this taxon. Given that all other alutaceus group species nested together, with high support, in molecular analyses, we placed this taxon within our (2012) genus Anolis. "G" (cyanopleurus) nested with our (2012) genus "Anolis" in all analyses. Note placement of these taxa in Figures 1, 3, 4 and 5. Notice that, in each case, each genus is monophyletic at a high level of confidence, with the sole exception of the few problematic taxa.

NOAA Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellites (POES) Global Visible and Infrared Band Data from ESSA (1966 - 1972) and NOAA (1972 - 1978) Satellites, Version 1

This data set consists of daily visible-band (VIS) imagery and infrared-band (IR) imagery derived from the Environmental Sciences Service Administration (ESSA) satellites, the Improved TIROS Operational System 1 (ITOS 1) satellite, and the the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellites covering December 1966 through March 1978 (IR data begins in December 1972). The data set was created by scanning the analog imagery from these satellites held in the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) physical archives in Asheville, NC. Images on 35 mm film, glossy prints, or paper halftone prints were scanned, processed, and then converted to NetCDF format.
