<p>From 2007-2014, pre-breeding common eiders were captured in flight nets when arriving and flying over Mitivik Island, Nunavut, banded, sexed and measured. Cloacal and oral samples were collected for detection of current <i>Pasteurella multocida</i> infection, and blood samples were collected for detection of antibodies to this bacterium.
