SPECTACLE Podcasts - Episode 2: La caducità del costume, an interview with Petra Dotlačilová
<p>In this episode, Dr. Petra Dotlačilová explores the methodology she applies to investigate the material and ephemeral nature of costumes in the eighteenth century.<br><strong>Petra Dotlačilová</strong> holds a PhD in Dance Studies from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2016), and a PhD in Theatre Studies from Stockholm University (2020). She specializes in dance history and theatrical costume in Europe from 16<sup>th</sup> to 18<sup>th</sup> century. Particularly, she explores aesthetic and material properties of costumes, international transfers in design and relations between garments and movement practices. She participated in the research projects <a href="http://performingpremodernity.com/">Performing Premodernity</a> at the Stockholm University and <a href="http://research.uni-leipzig.de/havewa/en/index.php">Ritual Design for the Ballet Stage</a> at Leipzig University. Within these projects, she organized several workshops and collaborated at costume-making for historically informed performances of <em>Pygmalion </em>(2015, Český Krumlov, Stockholm), and <em>Le Devin du village</em> (2019, Stockholm). In 2021 was awarded with the international postdoc of the Swedish Research Council, which supports her three-year research project “<a href="https://www.su.se/english/research/research-projects/the-fabrication-of-performance-processes-and-politics-of-costume-making-in-the-18th-century">The Fabrication of Performance: Processes and Politics of Costume-Making in the 18th Century</a>”, conducted in collaboration with Centre de musique baroque Versailles.</p> <p>https://spectacle.elisacazzato.com/radio-ca-foscari-podcast/</p>

Al-Khazneh (Arabic: الخزنة; "The Treasury"), is one of the most elaborate temples in the ancient Arab Nabatean Kingdom city of Petra. As with most of the other buildings in this ancient town, including the Monastery (Arabic: Ad Deir), this structure was carved out of a sandstone rock face. It was originally built as a mausoleum and crypt at the beginning of the 1st century AD during the reign of Aretas IV Philopatris The treasury was built by the Arab Nabateans, coinciding with the time of the Hellenistic and Roman Empires and so has classical Greek-influenced architecture. <p>This is the data set presented in the article "<strong><em>Phase Retrieval for Near-field X-Ray Imaging beyond Linearisation or Compact Support</em></strong>".</p> <p>It is a matlab file containing 3 fields:</p> <p>geometry contains the following fields: all distances z_01 (focus-sample) z_02(sample-detector) and derived quantites M (magnification), z_eff (effective propagation distance from Fresnel scaling), F (Fresnel number) and dxeff (effective pixelsize)</p> <p>images is a cell array of the 4 flat field corrected (not aligned nor magnified) measurements.</p> <p>p is a parameter structure. p.measurements contains the fully corrected data used for the reconstruction. p.F contains the rescaled Fresnel numbers - use these for reconstruction, corresponding to the order of measurements. </p>
