FIGURE 1. Maximum likelihood majority rule consensus tree for Pleurotheciaceae based on a dataset of combined LSU, SSU, ITS and rpb2 sequence data. Bootstrap support values for maximum likelihood (the first value) equal to or greater than 75% and Bayesian posterior probabilities (the second value) equal to or greater than 0.95 are given above the nodes as MLBS/BIPP. The strain numbers are noted after the species names. Newly generated sequences are indicated in red, and ex-type strains are in bold. The tree is rooted with Conioscypha peruviana (ILL 41202) and C. pleiomorpha (FMR 13134).

Phaeoisaria ellipsoidea (IFRD 9462, holotype) a, b Colonies on the natural substratum. c, d Conidiophores with conidia. e, f Conidiogenous cells bearing conidia. g–n Conidia. o Colony on PDA (from front). p Colony on PDA (from reverse). Scale bars: c = 50 μm, d = 80 μm, e = 10 μm, f–n = 2 μm.

FIGURE 1. The phylogenetic tree obtained from RAxML analysis with combined ITS, LSU, and SSU sequence data. Bootstrap support values for ML equal to or greater than 75% and PP for BI equal to or greater than 0.95 were indicated at the nodes. Pleurotheciella rivularia (CBS 125237) and Pl. rivularia (CBS 125238) were selected as the outgroup taxa. The new isolates are in blue, and the type species are in bold.
