Polytraits
<p>[Polytraits](http://polytraits.lifewatchgreece.eu/) is a database on biological traits of polychaetes (bristle worms, Polychaeta: Annelida). It covers information about the morphology, behaviour, reproduction and larval characteristics of polychaete taxa. The project was initially started as an in-house project of Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. Traits were initially collected for an analysis of the biological traits of polychaetes in Mediterranean lagoons, but since then the database has been continuously expanded to serve the data needs for other analyses. Currently, polytraits is being maintained by the Institute for Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research and will be supported by (and function as a part of) the Greek LIFEWATCH infrastructure. A detailed description of the database and its contents have been submitted as a datapaper to the Biodiversity Data Journal : Faulwetter S, Arvanitidis C, Markantonatou V, Pavloudi C, Keklikoglou, K, Papageorgiou N, Chatzinikolaou E, Dailianis T, Chatzigeorgiou G, Vasileiadou A, Pafilis E, Koulouri P, Fanini L (2013).
