Survey of Pacific Northwest public land managers science and values project, 2023
This dataset records survey data about public land managers who work in Oregon and Washington (Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, Oregon Department of Forestry, Washington Department of Natural Resources). Data was collected in 2023 via the online survey platform Qualtrics. Data collection is complete. The dataset includes measures of managers beliefs about 1) variable density thinning of mature growth forests, 2) salvage logging of burned areas, 3) translocation of plant species from hotter and drier seed zones to adapt to climate change. It includes how managers evaluate the usefulness of scientific evidence and the soundness of action prescriptions for each of the three management issues Respondents were randomly assigned to either receive long-term or short-term studies, and positive or negative results. The dataset includes measures of sense of belonging (how much managers believe they belong at their workplace) and measures of public support/public threat (how much they believe the public understands and supports the actions they take on the landscape). The dataset includes respondent agency.

GERONTE H2020 project - GERDAT004 - Dataset of self-management recommendations
<p><strong>The present document is a dataset generated as part of Deliverable D1.1. of the GERONTE project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Programme under Grant Agreement N°945218. It aims to provide the geriatric oncology professional community with a dataset of self-management recommendations that can be used in the care for older patients with cancer and multimorbidity.</strong></p> <p>GERONTE is a 5-year research and innovation project (April 2021 to Mars 2026) funded by the European Union within the framework of the H2020 Research and Innovation programme, in response to the health societal challenge topic SC1-BHC-24-2020 “Healthcare interventions for the management of the elderly multimorbid patient”. The overall aim of GERONTE is to improve quality of life - defined as well-being on three levels: global health status, physical functioning and social functioning- for older multimorbid patients, while reducing overall costs of care. To this end, GERONTE will co-design, test, and prepare for deployment an innovative cost-effective patient-centred holistic health management system, hereafter referred to as the GERONTE intervention. GERONTE intervention will rely on an ICT based application for real-time collection and integration of standardised clinical and home patient-reported data. GERONTE intervention will be demonstrated in the context of care of multimorbid patients having cancer as a dominant morbidity, and be adaptable to any other combination of morbidities.</p> <p>Patient empowerment by supporting self-management is an important component of the Geronte care pathway. As patients will be monitoring themselves at home, to register side-effects of treatment, decompensation of comorbidities and signs of functional decline, they will also be faced with questions about how to deal with the issues that they are having. While one important component of the care pathway is early signalling of complications to allow for early intervention by health care professionals, there is also a lot that patients can do for themselves at home to enhance their life-style, decrease burden of signs and symptoms or to improve outcomes.</p> <p>This led to the composition of a dataset to be included in the GERONTE care pathway, which is presented here.</p>

The goal is to establish the Records manager as a key stakeholder in Enterprise Architecture, by expressing the related Records Management Viewpoint.</p> <p>This viewpoint makes use of the concepts of “concerns” and “system of concerns” as defined in ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010:2011, and of the concepts of “stakeholders”, “viewpoint, “view” and “model” as also defined coherently in that standard and in the main Enterprise Architecture references of TOGAF and ArchiMate. <p>The dataset of depersonalized qualitative semi-structured interviews with the representatives of public sector organisations providing public services in Lithuania. The data were collected in December-November, 2022 as a part of the project "Public services management system to improve the quality and accessibility of services" ("Viešųjų paslaugų vadybos sistema paslaugų kokybei ir prieinamumui gerinti"), grant no. 01.2.2-LMT-K-718-03-0019, funded by the Lithuanian research council. Project "Public services management system to improve the quality and accessibility of services" (01.2.2-LMT-K-718-03-0019) literature review screening results
<p>The results of the keyword query in Scopus search with the abstracts were screened using <i>abstractr </i>platform at <a href="http://abstrackr.cebm.brown.edu">http://abstrackr.cebm.brown.edu</a>. Four reviewers reviewed intersecting subsets of the overall list of publications in separate reviews, therefore duplicate records in the file are possible. The results from four reviews were combined into one file using functionality of <i>abstractr </i>platform. The reviews were finalized in February, 2022. Open dataset of 20 interviews with senior service designers and managers for the Empathy Business research project
<p>The aim of the Empathy Business research project (2023-2024) led by the University of Lapland focused on how to digitalize services and business prototyping through creativity. The research named challenges as well as design methods for developing digital tools for meeting the future needs of service design and business development.<br><br>In total, 20 interviews among senior service designers and managers located in Europe, Latin America and Asia were conducted during spring 2023. The interviews provide perspectives related to the future of service design as a practise, the skills required and further issues of relevance for professionals in the field. Based on affinity diagramming eight main clusters were named: Sustainability, Business compatibility, New tools, Designer’s skills, Art-based methods, People in the centre, Online workshops, and Physical workshops.<br><br>This data set includes an anonymized list of the interviewees, affinity diagram post-it notes of the interviews, short descriptions of the main clusters and an internet link to the online affinity diagram on Miro board.<br><br>The materials provided initial insights for developing Proof-of-Concepts for digitized interfaces, such as suitable plugins, 3D-based photorealistic solutions, or an application with the potential to be used in service design and service prototyping contexts as well as in other development processes within and across organizations.</p>

PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT MODELS IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
<p>The relevance of the research topic is due to the increasing complexity of construction projects, stricter requirements for deadlines, quality of work, as well as increased competition in the relevant industry. In the current conditions, traditional management methods often turn out to be ineffective, which leads to deadlines, budget overruns, and a significant decrease in the quality of construction.</p> <p>The purpose of the study is to analyze and systematize ideas about modern models of productivity improvement in construction project management, as well as to assess their potential impact on key performance indicators of projects. Special attention is paid to the formulation of the author's view of the advantages and limitations of specific models.</p> <p>The study revealed contradictions between the need to introduce innovative approaches to working with projects and the conservative practices that have developed in the industry. In addition, it is advisable to point out the discrepancy between the pace of development of digital technologies and the speed of their adaptation in the construction sector.</p> <p>It is concluded that integrated models combining elements of flexible methodologies, digital developments, and Lean approaches are the most effective. The role of digital twins, predictive analytics, and blockchain in improving productivity in this area is particularly emphasized.</p>
Preparedness for Contingencies: A Systematic Review of the Factors that Influence the Crisis Resilience of Project Managers
<p>The goal of this review paper is to investigate factors that contribute to project managers' crisis resilience through a systematic review of the literature and bibliometric analysis using VOXviewer. Existing research on project management and resilience focuses on urban resilience, community resilience, organisational resilience, team resilience, individual resilience, resilience of critical infrastructure, and flood resilience. In the context of project managers, however, the factors that influence crisis resilience and preparedness remain unclear. Using the PRISMA framework for systematic literature, 55 peer-reviewed articles published between 1993 and 2022 that met our criteria were identified through a structured keyword search in the Scopus and WoS databases. The systematic review and bibliometric analysis reveal eight (8) clusters, which we further categorise into four determinants. This is the most important finding of this review. In the context of the roles of project managers, the results of a comparative analysis reveal four prominent factors for enhancing crisis resilience: 1. leadership (individual resilience, influence, team trust, emotional intelligence); 2. interpersonal skill (conflict management, persistence, crisis preparedness); 3. agility (proactiveness, coping capacity, and adaptive capacity); 4. risk management and vulnerability (perception, awareness) . These factors are essential for developing project managers who are less susceptible to future crises and disasters. This study has exhaustively characterised the possibilities and capacities of crisis resilience in terms of competency, integration, collaboration, and novelty; however, the search was restricted to a small number of databases and a short period of time, which could be explored in future research. According to the findings, most previous research on crisis resilience focused on emergency preparedness and was primarily conducted in Western and American studies. There is a lack of a holistic perspective on crisis resilience, which will be developed. We believe that international collaboration efforts to establish a platform for the exchange of knowledge between Western and American nations and ASEAN members are necessary</p>
Uneven Aged Management Project (UAMP), Andrews Experimental Forest
The study consists of 16 treatment units – stands ranging in size from 7 to 11 ha – within the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest. Each unit is has assigned one of four alternative thinning regimes – unthinned (Control), light thin with patch openings (GAP), light thin (Light) or heavy thin (Heavy),. The stands are to be managed under these alternative regimes over several harvest cycles as the experiment evaluates alternative thinning regimes to convert uniform, even-aged stands, to structurally heterogeneous uneven-aged structure. Vegetation data collection occurred pretreatment (1997 or 1998) and post-treatment (2001, 2003, 2005 and 2010).
Dataset for: Advancing projections of Crown-of-Thorns Starfish to support management interventions
<h3>Abstract</h3> <div> <p>Regular outbreaks of corallivorous Crown of Thorns Starfish (<em>Acanthaster</em> spp; CoTS) occur on the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) and are one of the leading drivers of coral mortality. Understanding the disparities between real-world observations and model predictions of CoTS densities is crucial for refining population modelling and developing effective control strategies. Using a spatially explicit ecosystem model of the Great Barrier Reef (ReefMod-GBR), we compare model predictions of CoTS densities to manta tow survey observations. We also incorporate a new zone-specific CoTS mortality rate to account for differences in predation of CoTS between fished and protected reefs. We found high congruence between predicted CoTS densities and observations: ~81% of categorical reef level CoTS densities were either the same density level or only differed by one level, however underpredictions increased as observed densities increased. The zone-specific CoTS mortality rate reduced severe underpredictions from 7.1% to 5.6%. Underpredictions are a key concern for reef managers as they indicate potential missing outbreaks where targeted culling efforts are necessary and may lead to an underestimation of the coral loss attributed to CoTS outbreaks. Reef protection status was an important driver of prediction accuracy, suggesting it plays a role in determining CoTS densities, emphasising the importance of further research on in situ CoTS mortality rates. The location of a reef inside or outside the “initiation box”, a speculative area of primary outbreaks on the GBR, was also important, with exact predictions more likely to occur outside the box. Accurately modelling initiation box dynamics is challenging owing to limitations of empirical data on CoTS outbreaks, but this highlights the need for focussed research on these dynamics to enhance overall predictive accuracy. Other spatial factors, such as region and shelf position, also contributed to the variance between observations and predictions, underscoring the importance of the spatial-temporal context of each observation. In conclusion, this study validates our CoTS population modelling efforts, showcasing a high congruence between CoTS density predictions and real-world observations. CoTS observations can help refine predictions and guide targeted control against CoTS populations and outbreaks, contributing to effective ecosystem management for long-term resilience of the GBR.</p> </div> <h3>Methods</h3> <div> <p>Data are mean CoTS density (per manta tow) observations and predictions for individual reefs and years on the Great Barrer Reef. CoTS manta tow observations derive from the CoTS Control Program (CP), Field Management Program (FMP), and the AIMS Long Term Monitoring Program (LTMP). Where multiple observations exist from the same observation source, they are averaged at the reef-level in that year. If multiple observations exist from different sources, they are kept separate. Predictions are generated by a spatially explicit ecosystem model of the Great Barrier Reef (ReefMod-GBR).</p> <h3>Description of the data and file structure</h3> <p>Observed and predicted CoTS densities are compared to determine prediction accuracy of the ecosystem model. Both observed and predicted CoTS per tow values were categorised as follows: 0 = None (Level 1); ≤ 0.1 = No Outbreak (Level 2); 0.11 - 0.22 = Potential Outbreak (Level 3); 0.22 - 1.0 = Established Outbreak (Level 4); 1.0 - 3.0 = Severe Outbreak (Level 5); > 3.0 = Extreme Outbreak (Level 6). The level of each observation was then compared to the level of each prediction and the difference calculated to determine prediction accuracy.</p> <p>Different variables were extracted as potential predictors of CoTS prediction accuracy. Data Management Plan: FNS Project "Le scénario chez Alain Tanner : discours et pratiques. Une approche génétique du récit filmique et des représentations de genre"
<p>Le présent projet entend investiguer, sur la base principalement des archives personnelles d’Alain Tanner déposées à la Cinémathèque suisse (CS), la genèse des dix-neuf longs métrages de fiction réalisés par le cinéaste suisse romand entre 1969 (<em>Charles mort ou vif</em>) et 2004 (<em>Paul s’en va</em>) en optant pour une méthodologie relevant de l’étude génétique des textes scénaristiques. </p> <p>Parallèlement à l’étude des archives de production qui nous renseignent sur les pratiques d’écriture, nous envisageons le discours tenu à propos du scénario par Tanner, l’un des cinéastes suisses à avoir bénéficié d’une importante reconnaissance internationale et exercé un impact considérable sur la manière dont le cinéma a été conçu dans son pays. Nous postulons que le « scénario » se situe au cœur de l’œuvre du cinéaste dans la mesure où ce dernier a constamment entretenu un rapport ambivalent à ce stade de la fabrication de ses films : alors qu’il n’a eu de cesse de relativiser le rôle de l’écriture au profit de la mise en scène, il a par ailleurs constamment problématisé, dans ses prises de position publiques et ses nombreux textes de réflexion sur sa pratique, la question de l’écriture. La constitution d’un historique de production de l’ensemble des longs métrages que Tanner a réalisés, (co)produits et (co)écrits, ainsi qu’une étude comparative des états et variantes de scénario entre eux et avec les différents films tels qu’ils ont été exploités sont ainsi corrélés à l’ensemble des discours sur le cinéma qui ont été émis par Tanner à travers divers canaux médiatiques, ainsi qu’avec la réception critique de ses films qui s’est fait l’écho de son discours et a commenté son travail. L’engagement institutionnel de Tanner dans les années 1960 ainsi que sa visibilité médiatique tout au long de sa carrière permettront d’offrir un éclairage plus large sur l’histoire du cinéma suisse de fiction. </p> <p>La genèse des scénarios de Tanner sera en particulier envisagée dans ce que leur étude apporte sur un plan méthodologique à la génétique des textes, et dans la manière dont ceux-ci s’appuient sur du matériel antérieur (romans pour ses deux adaptations, journaux intimes, faits divers, photographies, cartes géographiques, etc.), programment différents aspects du film à venir (dialogues, mouvement d’appareil, montage, jeu d’acteur, bande-sons, etc.) et résultent d’une écriture collaborative. A ce titre, trois personnalités ayant travaillé successivement comme coscénariste sur des films de Tanner et stimulé sa réflexion sur le cinéma font l’objet d’une étude : le critique d’art John Berger, l’actrice et chanteuse Myriam Mézières et enfin le romancier et figure du monde des lettres et des médias Bernard Comment. Les modalités de la création à quatre mains sont discutées dans une perspective double : (1) une étude narratologique (la construction du récit et des personnages, le processus de l’adaptation, etc.) ; (2) une étude des représentations genrées. Sur ces deux plans, nous avons l’ambition de montrer, en dépit d’ambivalences diverses, combien le cinéma de Tanner se distingue de la production dominante et même du cinéma d’auteur francophone post-Nouvelle Vague par une originalité certaine qui demeure à ce jour trop peu discutée dans l’histoire du cinéma (suisse). L’étude de ce corpus se prête à affiner l’approche génétique en l’adaptant à l’hétérogénéité et au non-conformisme des pratiques de Tanner. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
