Kinematic and Electromyographic Recordings during Dynamic, Repetitive, Low-Force Movements
<p>Experimental recordings of kinematic (XSens Awinda, Full-Body) and electromyographic (Delsys Trigno, 8 Right Arm Muscles) data during 4 repetive upper limb exercises with a 1.5Kg dumbell: A) elbow counter-gravity flexion and gravity-assisted extension, with torso tilted forwards; B) shoulder counter-gravity abduction and gravity-assisted adduction; C) shoulder counter-gravity flexion and gravity-assisted extensio; D) composite sequence of elbow/shoulder flexion/extension motions, executed until self-reported fatigue.</p> <p>A total of 17 healthy volunteers (11 Male; 6 Female; 23.82 ± 2.79 years old, 69.06 ± 14.75 Kg) were recruited. Each participant willingly agreed to participate in the study and gave their signed, informed consent, following the standard set by the declaration of Helsinki and the Oviedo Conventions.</p> <p>Additionally, self-reported fatigue after each exercise, according to Borg's Perceived Exertion Scale (Borg, 1998), is provided for all subjects.</p> <p>For a detailed description of the experimental protocol and instrumentation, refer to associated research paper (submission under review).</p>

<p>Datasets underlying the analysis of the paper "Memecry: Tracing the Repetition-with-Variation of Formulas on 4chan/pol/</p> <p>This upload includes the following:</p> <ul> <li><strong>seedwords.csv: </strong>A .csv file with terms we used as a seed list to filter for 4chan/pol/-post containing vernacular.</li> <li><strong>seedword-network_x.gdf/gephi: </strong>.gdf and .gephi network files for NPMI-weighted co-word networks of /pol/-posts. We only included posts that contained one of the aforementioned seed list words.</li> <li><strong>twoflow-data_x.xlsx: </strong>.xlsx files with data on triplets common to 4chan/pol/. We identified these three-word sequences through the above network files. For example: "gr8 b8 m8", "orange man bad", "lurk moar newfag". The Excel data on these triplet includes: <ul> <li>The absolute amount of /pol/-posts per year mentioning the triplets (within a window of five words).</li> <li>The average NPMI scores between the three triplet words per year.</li> <li>The top co-words per year having an average NPMI higher than 0.18 with <em>two of the three</em> triplet words.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>triplets.csv</strong>: A .csv file with the extracted triplets, including their common appearance as memetic phrases and a short explanation.</li> </ul> <p>This data was used for "two-flow graphs" available at <a href="http://oilab.eu/formulas/">oilab.eu/formulas/</a>.</p> <p>See the paper for full explanations on the data.</p>

M4Raw: A multi-contrast, multi-repetition, multi-channel MRI k-space dataset for low-field MRI research [V1.6]
<p>V1.6 release notes:</p> <ul> <li>The test subset is released, which contains T1w (6 repetitions/subject), T2w (6 repetitions/subject), and FLAIR (4 repetitions/subject) data from 25 new subjects. These data have passed motion inspection, but one should note that due to the doubled repetition numbers, the average inter-contrast motions are around twice larger than those in the training and validation subsets. To facilitate users, we release the ground truth images as well, but please do not use them during hyperparameter tuning.</li> </ul> <p>V1.5 release notes:</p> <ul> <li>T1w Gradient echo (GRE) data for all 183 subjects are released. Note that the phase encoding direction for GRE data is in the AP direction, different from other contrasts. These GRE data were not checked for motions.</li> <li>A few incorrect records of patient_id were corrected in the H5 files.</li> <li>Scans 2022062708 and 2022062709 were removed due to duplication. Data from: Repetitive DNA profiles reveal evidence of rapid genome evolution and reflect species boundaries in ground beetles
Genome architecture is a complex, multidimensional property of an organism defined by the content and spatial organization of the genome's component parts. Comparative study of entire genome architecture in model organisms is shedding light on mechanisms underlying genome regulation, evolution, and diversification; but such studies require costly analytical approaches which make extensive comparative study impractical for most groups. However, lower-cost methods that measure a single architectural component (e.g., distribution of one class of repeats) have potential as a new data source for evolutionary studies insofar as that measure correlates with more complex biological phenomena, and for which it could serve as part of an explanatory framework. We investigated copy number variation (CNV) profiles in ribosomal DNA (rDNA) as a simple measure reflecting the distribution of rDNA subcomponents across the genome. We find that signatures present in rDNA CNV profiles strongly correlate with species boundaries in the <i>breve</i> species group of <i>Bembidion</i>, and vary across broader taxonomic sampling in <i>Bembidion</i> subgenus <i>Plataphus</i>. Profiles of several species show evidence of re-patterning of rDNA-like sequences throughout the genome, revealing evidence of rapid genome evolution (including among sister pairs) not evident from analysis of traditional data sources such as multi-gene data sets. Major re-patterning of rDNA-like sequences has occurred frequently within the evolutionary history of <i>Plataphus</i>. We confirm that CNV profiles represent an aspect of genomic architecture (i.e., the linear distribution of rDNA components across the genome) via fluorescence in-situ hybridization. In at least one species, novel rDNA-like elements are spread throughout all chromosomes. We discuss the potential of copy number profiles of rDNA, or other repeats, as a low-cost tool for incorporating signal of genomic architecture variation in studies of species delimitation and genome evolution.

<p>The dataset contains raw and aggregated data with scores obtained by participant children (Italian-German bilingual children) subdivided in three groups (typically developing, at-risk, diagnosed with developmental language disorder). as well as in the two groups presence/absence of phonological risk, on a new Nonword Repetition Task. Rows in the file correspond to single nonwords, belonging to one of the subsets: LS (language-specific), LNS (llanguage-non-specific), for each language (IT, Italian, GER, German).</p> <p>The dataset has been the basis for the analyses reported in the paper "A Nonword Repetition Task Discriminates Typically Developing Italian-German Bilingual Children From Bilingual Children With Developmental Language Disorder: The Role of Language-Specific and Language-Non-specific Nonwords", part of the research topic "Discriminating the Linguistic Profiles of Bilingual Children and Children with Language Impairment", Frontiers in Psychology, 2022</p>
Standing repetitive pointing task in individuals with and without Parkinson's disease
<p>[ These data refer to a manuscript currently under revision in PlosOne. In this MS we aimed to determine the effects of levodopa medication on the performance of a repetitive pointing task while standing, and to investigate the optimal trial duration in individuals with Parkinson’s disease, and older adults. Seventeen individuals with Parkinson’s disease (5 freezers) and 9 older adults stood on force platforms for 30 s and 120 s while performing a bilateral repetitive pointing task, tracked by motion capture. Participants with Parkinson’s disease were assessed on and off medication and older adults were also assessed on separate days. The main findings were that: 1) on medication, participants with Parkinson’s exhibited greater center of pressure root mean square in the medial-lateral direction, greater velocity in the medial-lateral and anterior-posterior directions, and greater range in the medial-lateral direction than off medication; 2) longer trial durations resulted in greater center of pressure range in the medial-lateral and anterior-posterior directions and greater coefficient of variation in finger pointing on the least affected side; 3) Parkinson’s participants exhibited larger range in the medial-lateral direction compared to older adults; 4) off medication, freezers presented with less range and root mean square in the anterior-posterior direction than non-freezers; and 5) a correlation emerged between the freezing of gait questionnaire and pointing asymmetry and the coefficient of variation of pointing on the most affected side. Therefore, Parkinson’s medication may increase instability during a repetitive pointing task. Longer trials may provide a better depiction of sway by discriminating between those with and without neurological impairment. Individuals with Parkinson’s were less stable than older adults, supporting that they are at a greater risk for falls. The greater restrictive postural strategy in freezers compared to non-freezers is likely a factor that augments fall-risk. Lastly, the link between freezing of gait and upper-limb movement indicates that freezing may manifest first in the lower-limbs. Add description ]</p>
