FS2115 Palatki Roasting Pit Panel 27

Similar model to earlier models. This shows a 15 x 10 cm area with multiple cross hatched snake like symbols that are believed to be Archaic or Early Archaic in origin. The width of each symbol is less than 1 cm. The cross hatched incised lines are precisely done on very fine (soft) clastic fracture full. This material is progressivly being eroded by exfoliation with the loss of these petroglyphs. The model, compared to previous models shows an additional small percentage loss. It also shows the nature of the native Schenebly Hill Sandstone (light brown center and left) with a small area of iron enriched sandstone typically located between the sandstone and fracture fill. Several different very thin layers (total less than 2 mm) can be seen with a small area with remnant red paint towards the right. A somewhat different style (wider) very faint snake motif can be seen on the far right of the model Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Roasting_Twitter_Experiment_Main_Study

The database contains the data from a survey created on Qualtrics.

Procedure:

Participants were told that when they checked their preferred SNS page, they observed communication between two brands. First, the “main” brand initiated the conversation. After a five-second delay, a “paired” brand responded. After another five-second delay, “main” brand responded to the message from paired brand. We used a short delay (five-second) in each step of communication to prevent the coattail effect (Cunha Jr, Forehand, & Angle, 2015). After reading the scenarios, participants responded to a series of questions.

We used measures of brand coolness (Im, Bhat, and Lee (2015); α = .873), brand sincerity (Shin and Larson (2020); α = .847), perceived humor (Eisend (2009)) and consumer’s personality (Rammstedt and John (2007); α = .903). At the end of the survey, participants answered demographic questions.

FS1200 Palatki Roasting pit Panel 27 petroglyph

This area of petroglphs and pictographs in the Palatki Heritage Site is considered at risk due to natural erosion of the rock surface. The model area is approximately 8 x 8 inches. The Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest was awarded the 2017 Chief's Award for Fostering Volunteerism and Service. The national level award acknowledges the Forest Service and Friends of the Forest development and implementation of new technologies to assist in protecting and preserving the forest. The application of 3D photographic models in the documentation and evaluation of archaeological sites is one of those techniques being used. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found at the following web sites http://www.sedonaredrocktrails.org/ http://www.fs.usda.gov/recmain/coconino/recreation Information about volunteer opportunities in the Coconino Forest including the creation of the 3D models and other projects can be found at http://www.friendsoftheforestsedona.org/ Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Single fibre analysis of hemp and flax fibres, with reference to place of cultivation, degree of roasting, process status (raw fibre, scutched fibre, combed fibre, UD laid fibre, spun fibre)

The testing of hemp- and flax-based single fibres and semifinished products (UD Roving, Yarn) was carried out as part of the research project "alpine hemp 360°". The aim of the project was to develop hemp-based composite structures whose fibre reinforcement comes in the form of agricultural waste from small-scale farming in the Alpine region. The underlying thesis is that low-processed hemp bast fibres, pulled directly from the stalk, can achieve both the highest strength and the highest modulus of elasticity in the component. A ski and trekking pole was developed as a pilot application, which was subsequently launched on the market by the industrial partner LEKI 2023 in the form of a first pilot series "Hemp One Vario".

The results of the present study, which were developed in an early phase of the project, have shown that the performance assessment of fibre reinforcement in composites can only be achieved with difficulty by means of individual fibre testing (tensile test) or optical analysis (optical microscopy). Accordingly, methods for fibre length measurement and 3-point bending tests on rod-shaped composite samples were prioritized.

The project "alpine hemp 360°" was carried out by UIBK Research Intitute for Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics (scientific partner) , troi.composite components (company), Michael Halbfurter (farmer).

Funded by Land Tirol Forschung, Entwicklung und Innovation
