<p>The study reports the comparative analysis between the results of the search queries for the terms<em> Amazônia</em> and <em>Amazon</em> in Scopus and LISA databases, in the period from 2008 to 2018. <p>This is a supplementary dataset for an article analysing the scientific literature related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using Scopus-indexed journals. </p> <p>Data were retrieved in May 2022. Scopus was searched in the Title, Abstract, and Keywords fields looking for each of the 17 SDGs (search query example: TITLE-ABS-KEY (“SDG1” or "SDG 1").</p> <p>The dataset includes the following information for each of the 4808 scientific publication:</p> <p>ID: an identificatory alphanumerical number given by the authors</p> <p>Primary SDG: the main SDG the document focus on (MULTIPLE in case of more than one, ALL in case of all the SDGs)</p> <p>Year: Year of publication</p> <p>Title: title of the publication</p> <p>Abstract: abstract of the publication</p> <p>Index keywords: keywords of the publication</p> <p> </p>

Datos para: Análisis de la producción científica pinareña en el área Medicine en Scopus entre 2017 y 2021
<p><strong>Introducción: </strong>La evaluación de la producción científica institucional constituye una herramienta de gran valor para trazar estrategias guiadas a una mejor cultura de investigación y publicación.</p> <p><strong>Objetivo: </strong>Caracterizar la producción científica pinareña en el área <em>Medicine</em> en Scopus.</p> <p><strong>Métodos:</strong> Estudio observacional, descriptivo, bibliométrico de los artículos con autoría pinareña en revistas indexadas en Scopus entre 2017 y 2021. El universo estuvo compuesto por 86 artículos. Se empleó una estrategia de búsqueda para recuperar la información, Zotero y Bibexcel para la normalización de metadatos y VOSviewer para generar los mapas de co-ocurrencia de términos.</p> <p><strong>Resultados:</strong> Se encontró que el año más productivo fue el 2020 donde se publicaron el 31,33 % de los artículos; predominaron de artículos originales (82,56 %). El 87,24 % de los artículos se publicaron en revistas nacionales, donde el 30,24 % se publicaron en la Revista Cubana de Medicina General Integral. 27 artículos mostraron colaboración internacional, de ellos el 33,35 % provenían de Ecuador. El análisis de coocurrencia de términos permitió identificar 69 términos con más de 4 menciones, organizándolos en 17 clúster. Se encontraron como instituciones más productivas a la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Pinar del Río (40,69 %) y el Policlínico Universitario “Pedro Borras Astronga” (13,95 %).</p> <p><strong>Conclusiones:</strong> existió una baja producción científica pinareña en el área <em>Medicine</em> en Scopus, caracterizada por un mayor número de artículos originales y publicación de artículos en revistas nacionales. Se evidenció la existencia de cooperación internacional, así como la universidad como líder en producción científica. </p>
Supplemental data for: Variations in the naming of malondialdehyde (MDA) in PubMed-, Scopus-, and Web of Science-indexed literature
<p>Three scientific databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science (WoS)) were consulted (July 14, 2022) to assess the frequency of eight nomenclatural forms of malondialdehyde (MDA). Due to the peculiarities of the search interface of the selected databases, PubMed was searched in the Title and Abstract fields (search query example in PubMed: "malone dialdehyde"[Title/Abstract]), Scopus was searched in the Title, Abstract, and Keywords fields (search query example in Scopus: TITLE-ABS-KEY (“malone dialdehyde”)), and WoS Core Collection was searched in the Title, Abstract, Author keywords, and Keywords Plus fields (search query example in WoS Core Collection: TS=(“malone dialdehyde”)). All types of publications for the years 2002-2021 are taken into account.</p>

<p>Data of investigation published in the article "Ranking by relevance and citation counts, a comparative study: Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, WoS and Scopus".</p> <p>Abstract of the article:</p> <p>Search engine optimization (SEO) constitutes the set of methods designed to increase the visibility of, and the number of visits to, a web page by means of its ranking on the search engine results pages. Recently, SEO has also been applied to academic databases and search engines, in a trend that is in constant growth. This new approach, known as academic SEO (ASEO), has generated a field of study with considerable future growth potential due to the impact of open science. The study reported here forms part of this new field of analysis. The ranking of results is a key aspect in any information system since it determines the way in which these results are presented to the user. The aim of this study is to analyse and compare the relevance ranking algorithms employed by various academic platforms to identify the importance of citations received in their algorithms. Specifically, we analyse two search engines and two bibliographic databases: Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic, on the one hand, and Web of Science and Scopus, on the other. A reverse engineering methodology is employed based on the statistical analysis of Spearman’s correlation coefficients. The results indicate that the ranking algorithms used by Google Scholar and Microsoft are the two that are most heavily influenced by citations received. Indeed, citation counts are clearly the main SEO factor in these academic search engines. An unexpected finding is that, at certain points in time, WoS used citations received as a key ranking factor, despite the fact that WoS support documents claim this factor does not intervene.</p>

XX ENANCIB 2019.</p> <p>The present paper reports an empirical research that sought to analyze possible semantic deviations, ambiguities and false positives in the retrieval of documents in the <strong>Scopus database</strong> through search expressions of the terms <strong>Amazon and Amazon, from 2008 to 2018.</strong> From the sample selection <strong>composed of 40 most cited articles of both terms</strong>, a comparative analysis was performed between the author's keywords versus the keywords indicated by the database and the subject areas retrieved by the chosen terms were evaluated. In addition, Iramuteq software was used for data analysis and visualization. The study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the triad: concepts, keywords and terms regarding database information retrieval and to verify the application of the findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable principles, in the knowledge domain analysis as part of the universe of the Knowledge Organization System. Soft governance and soft law literature, gathered from Scopus and Web of Science
<p>This is a list of literature related to soft governance and soft law.</p> <p>The soft governance literature was collected on the 12th of July, 2022. 110 articles from Web of Science and 169 articles from Scopus that had any variance of “soft govern*” in either their title, abstract or keywords were consolidated into one collection of 179 articles. These were randomly labelled with a SoftGov_000 identifier.</p> <p>The soft law literature was collected on the 12th of December, 2022. 1026 articles from Web of Science and 1803 articles from Scopus that had any variance of “soft law” in either their title, abstract or keywords were consolidated into one collection of 1960 articles. Additional Data: Mapping the Evolution of Computational Thinking in Education: A Bibliometrics Analysis of Scopus Database from 1987 to 2023
<p>The following is a selection of figures and tables from a bibliometric study that will be released later. The title of this study is Mapping the Evolution of Computational Thinking in Education: A Bibliometrics Analysis of Scopus Database from 1987 to 2023.</p> <p>In the online listing of the appendix, we will find three figures (Figure 5, Figure 6, and Figure 12) and three tables (Table 3, Table 4, and Table 4), also several references related to this research. It was important to us that the core of the study that is now being carried out not be diminished in any way, which is why we chose the photos and tables we did. This study was conceived and supported by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), which the Ministry of Finance administers in the Republic of Indonesia, to evaluate current trends and research problems in computational thinking for education. The Scopus database was used, and its range of coverage was from 1987 to 2023.</p> <p> </p>

Producción científica cubana publicada en Scopus en torno a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: 2012-2021
<p><strong>Objetivo. </strong>Analizar mediante un estudio bibliométrico la producción científica cubana publicada en Scopus en torno a los ODS en el período 2012-2021.<strong> Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque</strong>. Mediante el uso de la plataforma SciVal ® de Elsevier se logró acceder a la producción científica de Cuba en Scopus relacionada con los ODS. El objetivo 17: alianzas para el cumplimiento de los ODS, no fue considerado dentro del análisis, pues hasta el momento SciVal no ha podido delimitar una estrategia de búsqueda que permita recuperar los artículos relacionados. Los ficheros que incluían los metadatos de cada artículo fueron descargados en formato CSV para su posterior procesamiento en los programas VosViewer y Microsoft Excel. Estos software se usaron para generar nubes de palabras clave y mapas de coocurrencia de conceptos, así como figuras y tablas. Para el análisis de las publicaciones se emplearon indicadores bibliométricos asociados a la producción, impacto, colaboración y temáticas. <strong>Resultados/Discusión</strong>. La producción científica y colaboración internacional han aumentado sostenidamente en los últimos años. La principal colaboración latinoamericana es con México, y a nivel mundial; España. Los ODS con mayor desarrollo en Cuba, respecto al mundo son: 2, 3, 4, 5 y 14; su progreso debería ser tomado en cuenta para fomentar el desarrollo entre los objetivos menos investigados. El ODS 3 cuenta con mayor presencia entre los artículos analizados respecto a los demás objetivos. <strong>Conclusiones</strong> El desarrollo de la ciencia esta relacionado con el progreso de los ODS, lo que permite integrar perspectivas multidisciplinarias, bajo un mismo enfoque científico. <strong>Originalidad/Valor</strong> aportar a través de la evidencia del desarrollo de los ODS en determinado contexto, resultando útil para quienes formulan políticas públicas y necesitan basarse en información de calidad para orientar estrategias, cerrar brechas y crear oportunidades de desarrollo.</p> <p><strong>PALABRAS CLAVE</strong>: Objetivos de desarrollo sostenible; Análisis bibliométrico; Cuba</p> <p><strong>Objetive. </strong>To analyze through a bibliometric study the Cuban scientific production published in Scopus around the SDGs in the period 2012-2021. <strong>Design/Methodology/Approach</strong>. Using Elsevier's SciVal ® platform, it was possible to access Cuba's scientific production in Scopus related to the SDGs. Objective 17: alliances for the fulfillment of the SDGs, was not considered in the analysis, since so far SciVal has not been able to delimit a search strategy to retrieve the related articles. The files that included the metadata of each article were downloaded in CSV format for further processing in VosViewer and Microsoft Excel programs. These software programs were used to generate keyword clouds and concept co-occurrence maps, as well as figures and tables. For the analysis of the publications, bibliometric indicators associated with production, impact, collaboration, and topics were used. <strong>Results/Discussion</strong>. Scientific production and international collaboration have increased steadily in recent years. The main Latin American collaboration is with Mexico, and at the global level, Spain. The SDGs with the greatest development in Cuba, with respect to the world are: 2, 3, 4, 5 and 14; their progress should be considered to promote development among the less researched goals. SDG 3 has a greater presence among the articles analyzed with respect to the other goals. <strong>Conclusions</strong> The development of science is related to the progress of the SDGs, which allows the integration of multidisciplinary perspectives under the same scientific approach. <strong>Originality/Value</strong> the SDGs are a useful tool for public policy makers who need to rely on quality information to guide strategies, close gaps and create development opportunities.</p> <p><strong>KEYWORDS</strong>: Sustainable development goals; Bibliometric analysis; Cuba</p>
