MeteoSerbia1km: the first daily gridded meteorological dataset at a 1-km spatial resolution across Serbia for the 2000–2019 period
<p>MeteoSerbia1km is the first daily gridded meteorological dataset at a 1-km spatial resolution across Serbia for the 2000–2019 period. The dataset consists of five daily variables: maximum, minimum and mean temperature, mean sea level pressure, and total precipitation. Besides daily summaries, it contains monthly and annual summaries, daily, monthly, and annual long term means (LTM). SRBCorp: Corpus of Parliamentary Debates in Serbia
<p>The repository contains a cleaned and pre-processed corpus of parliamentary debates from the National Assembly of Serbia. The corpus is accompanied by the metadata on elected representatives and their political parties. The first geospatial dataset of irrigated fields (2020-2024) in Vojvodina (Serbia)
<p><span>Irrigation is a cornerstone of global food security, enabling sustainable agricultural production and helping to ensure that food is available for people around the world, now and in the future. Mapping irrigated fields provides valuable information for sustainable water management, agricultural development, and environmental conservation efforts. However, the collection of high-quality training data, which is necessary for accurate irrigation mapping remains costly and labour-intensive. To address this, we created a georeferenced regional dataset consisting of location, crop type, and occurrence of the irrigation equipment which are essential information for mapping irrigated fields. Four main irrigated crops were considered: maize, soybean, sugar beet, and wheat. The dataset<span>,</span> consisting of a total of 1256 parcels<span>,</span> is created for Vojvodina, the main agricultural area in Serbia, spanning the period of five years (2020 - 2024). This study’s goal is to give accessibility to our dataset which further can be explored and used for building or fine-tuning machine learning and deep learning models for the automatic detection of irrigated fields using satellite imagery.</span></p>

Dataset for Green Transition Policies, Stakeholders and Practices in Serbia
<p>This dataset contributed to deliverable 4.2 Regional Mapping Report and shows the Serbian mapping. This report is the second deliverable of WP4 – Measuring and assessing impacts and costs of a just green transition in the WB, of the GreenFORCE project. It was jointly authored by the WB project partners, as well as 2 subcontracted parties from the region.</p> <p>The EU Economic and Investment Plan for the WB includes a green agenda for the WB, with pillars to be pursued for transitioning towards a carbon-neutral economy. Such a shift will surely challenge the economies and societies in the WB. The social and policy context is yet fragile to allow for the development and mass distribution of green transition technologies, while human resources are not prepared and/or are insufficient to produce and implement innovation. Yet, the green transition also paves the way towards new development and resilience opportunities. The research will inform on the readiness/potential of societal actors (industry, academia, policymakers, civic society) to embrace the pathways to transformation, and will propose a framework for continuous monitoring of impacts and costs. The key findings and lessons learnt derived within WP4 will be transferred into the scientific papers and policy briefs (WP 2 & 3) and published under the dissemination events (WP5).</p> <p>Regional mapping is a key task for the research, contributing to initial data gathering and the refinement of the research proposal, and to the sub-question on the identification of sectors and territories affected by the transitions and current progress of transition practices. This is a participatory mapping, engaging local stakeholders and communities to reveal local knowledge. Each WB partner will produce the respective country report, and Co-PLAN will work on the final regional report.</p> <p>This deliverable is the final regional report. It will also include the mapping frame used to conduct the mapping process. The WB partners will do the mapping for their own countries. The PC will subcontract data gathering for the remaining countries. The mapping is done for actors, practices and policies in place, territories upon the level of relevance and potential for engaging in green transition; and sectors. All partners will design the mapping frame, using also knowledge from other mapping processes. The frame will contain the type of information to be collected, the standardisation of data entry, and the tailored instruments to be deployed for accessing information.</p>

Vulnerability tools - Dinaric Mountains (Serbia)
<p><span>The MOVING project has developed accessible <strong>tools </strong>designed to assess susceptibility and vulnerability within the region, ready to be used by both experts and the general audience. This document synthesises crucial information for the Dinaric Mountains Region, particularly focusing on the Participatory Vulnerability Matrix and the Spatial Vulnerability Map. Furthermore, it includes <strong>supplementary maps and figures </strong>detailing various aspects such as the delineation of Reference Landscape, distribution of land systems, areas affected by wildfires, susceptibility to floods across different return periods, severity of forest disturbances, rainfall erosivity, and more.</span></p>

Results from the monitoring of veterinary medicinal product residues and other substances in live animals and animal products - Serbia
<p>This dataset contains the monitoring results of veterinary medicinal product residues and other substances measured in live animals and animal products analysed by the national competent authority of Serbia. The presence of unauthorised substances, residues of veterinary medicinal products in food may pose a risk factor for public health.</p> <p>For this reason and in order to ensure a high level of consumer protection, a comprehensive legislative framework has been established in the European Union (EU) which defines maximum limits permitted in food and monitoring programmes for the control of the presence of these substances in the food chain. Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 establishes maximum limits for residues of veterinary medicinal products in food-producing animals and animal products. Maximum residue levels for pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin are laid down in Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1646 lays down practical arrangements for and specific content of official controls of the use of veterinary medicinal products in live animals and products of animal origin through three different official national control plans: a national risk-based control plan for production in the Member States, a national randomised surveillance plan for production in the Member States and a national risk-based control plan for third-country imports. Additionally, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1644 lays down the range of samples and stage of production, processing and distribution at which the samples are to be taken.</p> <p>Since 2018 until 2022, the data on the national residue monitoring plan were reported to EFSA in accordance with Council Directive 96/23/EC.</p> <p>The chemical monitoring data collected and published by EFSA include the analytical results provided by EU Member States and three pre-accession countries: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.</p> <p>The dataset contains the results of laboratory tests from samples taken from bovines, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, poultry, rabbits, farmed game, wild game aquaculture, milk, eggs and honey, and from 2023 also samples from casings, insects and reptiles.</p> <p>Targeted samples are taken with the aim of detecting illegal treatment or controlling compliance with the maximum levels laid down in the relevant legislation. This means that, in their national plans Member States target the groups of animals (species, gender, age) where the probability of finding residues is the highest. Conversely, the objective of random sampling is to collect significant data to evaluate, for example, consumer exposure to a specific substance.</p> <p>Suspect samples are taken as a consequence of i) non-compliant results on samples taken in accordance with the control plans, ii) possession or presence of prohibited substances at any point during manufacture, storage, distribution or sale through the food and feed production chain, or iii) suspicion or evidence of illegal treatment or non-compliance with the withdrawal period for an authorised medicinal veterinary product.</p> <p>Residues of pharmacologically active substances mean active substances, excipients or degradation products and their metabolites, which remain in food.</p> <p>Unauthorised substances mean substances that are not authorised as veterinary medicinal products or as a feed additive under European Union legislation.</p> <p>Prohibited substances mean substances which are prohibited for use in food producing animals according to the European Union legislation.</p> <p>Non-compliant sample is a sample that has been analysed for the presence of one or more substances and failed to comply with the legal provisions for at least one substance.
