Flat thin films forward simulations (Complex fresnel rs and rp). Rough thin film of sio2, sweeped in thickness about 1micron (Intensity and raw rs and rp.) Both as measured with 0 to NA = 0.9 angles.
<p>This dataset is part of a project under the ATMOC consortium, involving case studies of various simple one-material layers and their optical properties, particularly focusing on their interaction with light in terms of reflectivity. It encompasses samples , studied by institutions like UT Twente, IMEC, and CEA. These samples include flat surfaces coated with materials like Si, Mo, Ru, Al, Ru, Ni, Mo, Nb, Pt, Ta, Cr, TiN, and and rough thermal SiO2 on Si wafers, with thicknesses ranging from a few nanometers to several micrometers, applied through processes like PVD deposition and thermal oxidation at high temperatures.</p> <p>The dataset leverages refractive index data from the online resource "refractiveindex.info" to simulate the optical properties of these layers. The reflection of light is primarily determined by the Fresnel reflection coefficient, with additional simulations for rough surfaces using JCMWave's Finite Element Method (FEM) to understand the effects of surface roughness on light reflection. Primary setup it represents is prototype of Coherent Fourier Scatterometry (typically used for critical parameters of grating reconstruction|).</p> <p>Data are stored in .mat and .csv formats, with MATLAB scripts for generating visualizations of the model results, such as pcolor plots of intensity reflections based on variables like cover thickness and k-axis normalization. Python examples are also provided for loading and visualizing the data. The datasets aim to offer a comprehensive understanding of the optical properties of these materials and structures, supporting the development of standards and models for optical measurements and applications. Additionally, the dataset includes references to further studies and methodologies, such as the T-matrix approach and the Fabry-Perot formula extension, indicating a scholarly foundation in optical physics and engineering research.</p>

Dataset: Glass-forming ability and structural features of melt-quenched and gel-derived SiO2-TiO2 glasses
<p>Research data for Manuscript submission with title</p> <p><strong>Glass-forming ability and structural features of melt-quenched and gel-derived SiO2-TiO2 glasses</strong></p> <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>SiO2-TiO2 glasses produced by melt-quenching or sol-gel spray-drying were compared to highlight their structural differences. Glass formation was possible by melt-quenching up to 10 mol% TiO2, while higher contents led to devitrification. Raman spectroscopy and solid-state 17O and 29Si MAS NMR confirmed the clear emergence of Ti-O-Si bonds and a tetrahedral oxygen coordination of Ti4+ leading to full network connectivity, as also substantiated by the synthesis of TiO2-doped cristobalite. In gel-derived glasses, water content induced partial network depolymerization, thereby enhancing the solubility of TiO2 in the hydrous silicate matrix. However, full dehydration during heating proved challenging due to the competing devitrification tendency: the glass-forming range in the anhydrous binary SiO2-TiO2 system does not therefore appear to be significantly enlarged by the sol-gel synthesis route.</p>

Bonding mechanism of cyanoacrylate on SiO2 and Au: Spectroscopic studies of the interface
<p>Cyanoacrylates form a highly reactive class of adhesives that develop significant adhesive strength to surfaces within a few seconds. Despite their commercial use, the exact bonding mechanism is virtually unknown. In the present work, we spin coat nm-thin films of ethyl cyanoacrylate on the two model substrates gold and silicon dioxide. The objective of the studies is to identify chemical interactions at the interface between adhesive and metal (oxide) which are possible reasons for film adhesion on the macroscopic scale. For this purpose, thin films of ethyl cyanoacrylate are investigated by X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy.</p>

Effect of substitution of Al2O3 and B2O3 for SiO2 on the structural and thermodynamic properties of cover glass for liquid crystal display
By the substitution of Al2O3 and B2O3 for SiO2 of the glass network former, the structural and thermodynamic properties of aluminosilicate glass were investigated. Judged by Raman spectra, the bridging vibration Si-Ob increased with the Al2O3/SiO2 substitute. And the total non-bridging vibration Si-Onb decreased, indicating the enhancement of the structure compactness. While for B2O3/SiO2 substitute, the vibration at around 1010cm-1 and the bridging vibration Si-Ob in Q4 unit both decreased and the structure got loosened. Based on the study of the structure of glass, the thermodynamic properties such as viscosity, coefficient of the linear thermal expansion, high-temperature resistance, strain point, annealing point and softening point, as well as density and elastic modulus were investigated. With the enhancement of thermodynamic properties requirements, the difficulty in industrialized manufacturing was increased. In this paper, glass composition of sample 4 was suitable for floating process production.
