PsPM-SCBD: Skin conductance response from a delay fear conditioning task with auditory CS (monophones/triads)
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements for 10 healthy unmedicated participants (5 females and 5 males, age range: 18 - 33 years, mean age: 24.1 +/- 4.7) participating in a classical (Pavlovian) discriminant delay fear conditioning experiment with auditory CS. Also included are CS and US information, and ratings of CS after the experiment. Simple and complex CS were simple sine tones (4 s), and triads in root position or in first inversion, respectively. US was a train of electric square pulses delivered with a constant current stimulator (Digitimer DS7A, Digitimer, Welwyn Garden City, UK) on participants' dominant forearm through a pin-cathode/ring-anode configuration. After the fear conditioning task, participants were first asked to report their subjective estimate of how likely they were to receive a shock after a given CS in the future, on a visual analogue scale of 0-100. Then they were asked to rate pairs of CS sounds with respect to which of the two stimuli they liked less.</p>
PsPM-SCRV6: Skin conductance responses to pain by electric stimulation
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements for each of 20 healthy unmedicated participants (10 males and 10 females aged 21.8+/-3.3 years) in response to 10 discomforting electric shocks. Stimuli are 0.5ms wide square current pulse repeated at 500Hz for 100ms. Amplitude is varied (mean +/- SD: 0.78mA +/- 0.43mA). ITI is selected randomly on each trial from 29s, 34s or 39s.</p>

PsPM-SSNA_1-2: Sudomotor Nerve Activity and Skin Conductance Response to 1: Aversive Sounds and 2: Auditory Oddballs
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) and sudomotor neurography signals for each of 7 healthy unmedicated participants 4 male, 3 female,23.7+/-4.0 years) in response to 20 broadband white noise sounds (SSNA_1) or 10 oddball tones in a oddball task (SSNA_2). Some participants did not complete SSNA_2 or had several repetitions of SSNA_1 such that there are 9 recordings for SSNA_1 and 5 recordings for SSNA_2. White noise sounds in SSNA_1 were 1 s long with 10 ms on- and offset ramp and presented at ~85 dB. Oddball and standard sounds in SSNA_2 were 50 ms long, with 10 ms on- and offset ramp, and presented at ~75 dB. Sound frequency was 440 Hz or 460 Hz. White noise sounds and oddball tones was separated by a random inter trial interval of at least 30 s. All stimuli for each of the experiments were presented in one block. There is a marker for each sound onset (including standard tones) in the spike recordings. Participants where instructed to press a button when hearing any sound (SSNA_1) or an oddball (SSNA_2). These keystrokes where not recorded.</p>
PsPM-SCRV7: Skin conductance responses to white noise sounds in quick succession
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements for each of 22 healthy unmedicated participants (11 males and 11 females aged 24.7+/-4.5 years) in response to white noise stimulation (1s length; 10ms ramp; ~85dB) under 5 experimental conditions: single stimuli, double stimuli with ISI of 2.5s, 5.5s or 9s and triple stimuli with ISIs randomly determined to be 2s, 5.5s or 9s.</p>

<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements, keypress responses and keypress response times to acoustic stimuli for each of 24 healthy unmedicated participants (12 males and 12 females aged 24+/-4.6 years, identical sample as in SCRV_1). The stimuli are 1s long white noise bursts at 95dB presented over headphones. Mean ISI is varied in a block-wise fashion (3s, 9s, 19s). The experiment follows a single factorial design with three levels of the mean ISI.</p>

<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements, keypress responses and keypress response times for each of 20 healthy unmedicated participants (10 males and 10 females aged 21.8+/-3.3 years) participating in an auditory oddball task with 10 oddballs. The stimuli are delivered every second via headphones as one of two sine tones (50ms length; 10ms ramp; ~75dB; 440 or 660 Hz). Subjects are instructed to press a computer key on hearing the oddball. Oddball tone is balanced across participants. ITI is selected randomly on each trial from 29s, 34s or 39s.</p>
PsPM-SCRV1: Skin conductance responses to aversive/neutral pictures at different inter trial intervals.
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurement, keypress responses and keypress response times to stimuli drawn from the International Affective Picture System for each of 24 healthy unmedicated participants (12 males and 12 females aged 27+/-4.6 years). The experiment used a 2x3 factorial design with the factors picture type (aversive, neutral), and mean ISI (3s, 9s, and 19s).</p> <p>Data are untrimmed. The referenced article used a trimmed version of the data (trim points: 0.5 s before first marker until 20 s after last marker). PsPM-SCRV9: Skin conductance responses to visual targets
<p>This dataset includes skin conductance response (SCR) measurements for each of 22 healthy unmedicated participants (11 males and 11 females aged 24.7+/-4.5 years) participating in a visual detection task. Participants are requested to react by a keypress to a target visual stimulus (a red cross) embedded in a stream of distractors (white numbers). Stimuli are presented during 200ms and are spaced by a 800ms blank interval. A baseline period with distractors but no targets concludes the experiment. (This is in contrast to the methods description in Bach et al. (2010), according to which the baseline period was randomly either in the beginning or at the end of the experiment. This discrepancy was caused by an error in the code that controlled the experiment presentation.)</p>

CS is a visual stimulus appearing in the middle of the screen with variation in color. US is an electric shock as a 500 Hz current pulses train (individual pulse width: 0.5ms, varying current amplitudes (0.90+/-0.63 mA) train width:500 ms). SOA between the CS and US is 3.5 s. The ITI is randomly determined on each trial to be 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 s. (This was correctly stated in Staib et al. (2015) but wrongly described in Bach et al. (2010).)</p>
