<p>This repository contains the seismograms of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) and the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS)&nbsp;used in Son et al. (2020). Paddy Rice Mapping Learning Material(Sentinel-1 & labeling) in South Korea

<p>This dataset includes time series Sentinel-1 images and paddy rice labeling in South Korea for ML/DL model training. It consists of&nbsp;7,762 training patches and 5,180 validation patches for each patch consists of 256 x 256 pixels.&nbsp;The dataset is saved in hdf5 format&nbsp;separated into training/valdation data, image/labeling, and part number which can be accessed by key: {tr/va}_{im/lb}_{0~4}.</p> <p>According to the phonological stage of paddy rice, the Sentinel-1 images were acquired through 8-time steps&nbsp;from May 10 to October 20 in 20 days&rsquo; interval. In order for the images to capture similar features of rice invariant to more or less difference of growth, minimum and maximum value composite were used at transplanting season and ripening season each.&nbsp;The acquisition year for each patch varies from 2017 to 2019 since it was matched to that of labeling source.</p> <p>The paddy rice labeling is a rasterized version of farm map produced by Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs(MAFRA). The original source data was produced by visual interpreted by high-resolution satellite images and aerial photos referring the other national GIS data and it is accessible through the national open data platform (<a href="http://data.nsdi.go.kr/dataset/20210707ds00001">http://data.nsdi.go.kr/dataset/20210707ds00001</a>). As the data is distributed in a vector format, it was converted to 10 m x 10 m raster format which is compatible to the Sentinel-1, and used for labeling the images.</p>

KF-metaweb: A trophic metaweb of freshwater ecosystems of South Korea (Version 1.0)

<p><strong>Motivation:</strong> The metaweb is a dictionary of nodes and their potential interactions developed for a particular region, focusing on a particular type of ecosystem. Based on the local biodiversity information at different spatial and temporal scales, the regional metaweb can be easily decomposed into local webs. The generated local webs are useful for understanding spatiotemporal variations in ecological interactions in a particular region. In this study, an attempt was made to develop a trophic metaweb for freshwater ecosystems in South Korea, called the KF-metaweb. The metaweb contains 23074 interactions between 446 taxa collected from 730 studies. This metaweb can be used to understand the spatiotemporal variability of different local food webs and the effects of the environment on food web properties. Furthermore, this is the first metaweb developed for any Asian ecosystem that contains information about many interactions that are unavailable in any other existing database. In addition, this metaweb study enriches our global understanding of ecological interactions.</p> <p><strong>Main types of variables contained: </strong>The data contained trophic interactions between resources (prey) and consumers (predators).</p> <p><strong>Spatial location and grain:</strong> The mainland of South Korea and Jeju Island.</p> <p><strong>Time period and grain:</strong> 2008–2021</p> <p><strong>Major taxa: </strong>Microalgae (belonging to the phyla Cyanobacteria, Bygra, Cryophyta, Myozoa, Ochrophyta, Charophyta, Chlorophyta, Euglenozoa, and Mycetozoa), zooplankton (belonging to the phyla Arthropoda and Rotifera), benthic macroinvertebrates (Platyhelmenthes, Annelida, Arthropoda, and Mollusca), and fish.</p> <p><strong>Level of measurement:</strong> Minimum taxonomic resolution was at the genus level for fish and benthic macroinvertebrates and order level for zooplankton and microalgae.</p>
