Database Mobbing-UNIPSICO Scale in Spanish Teachers

This dataset contains data of non-university teachers collected by paper and pencil at the workplace between October 2015 and May 2020. These data were collected by employees working in the INVASSAT (Instituto Valenciano de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, Government of the Valencian Community, Spain). The INVASSAT employees went to all educational center and informed the director, union representative, and teachers at each school of the procedure. Then each teacher filled in the questionnaire individually. The questionnaire was done in the presence of the INVASSAT employees to answer any doubts, and the filled questionnaires were given to the INVASSAT employee.

The file contains demographic variables, the responses to the 20 items of the Mobbing-UNIPSICO scale questionnaire, the responses to the items on alcohol, tobacco and medication use, and the response to the item regarding the necessity of professional support.

The name of the variables and the value labels have been written in English to facilitate their understanding.

Data and codebooks are provided in csv format, following the FAIR principles.

Three files are provided:

1. Mobbing database, with the data related to sample characteristics and the answers to the items of the questionnaires and the other items.

2.
This dataset contains survey data including the codebook for an online survey conducted in German and French in Switzerland in spring 2021. With this survey, we aimed to find out what students learn and what teachers teach in this course about digital technologies in agriculture.

Dataset for the publication "The TACS Model: Understanding Teachers' Adoption of Computer Science Pedagogical Content in Primary School"

This dataset contains the quantitative teacher data used to analyse an in service teacher training program for Computer Science that took place from September 2019 to March 2020 in the Canton Vaud in Switzerland. Approximately 180 teachers from the the 5th and 6th grade in primary school (ages 9-11) participated in 3 days of training sessions. At the end of each training session, teachers were asked to fill in a web-based questionnaire providing information relating to their perception of the training sessions and adoption of the computer science activities. The surveys were analysed from three perspectives which are detailed in the corresponding article (the professional development program's perspective, the activities' perspective, the teacher's perspective). The present repository thus contains three csv files, one per analysis. A README is included and provides additional information regarding :

- the requirements for re-use.

- the survey instrument used

- the specific content of the 3 csv files

Database Gil-Monte Burnout Model in Brazilian Teachers

This dataset contains data of non-university teachers collected by paper and pencil at the workplace. These data were collected the professor Mary Sandra Carlotto in the south of Brazil. The participation in the study was voluntary and anonymous. Prior to the start of the assessment the school principal was contacted to obtain the authorization to carry out the study and design the data collection. Teachers were informed about the purpose of the study, and it was clarified that their participation would not result in any individual or organizational assessment consequences. The questionnaire was distributed to teachers at the beginning of their workday, and they were asked to submit the completed questionnaire by placing it in a box in the teachers’ room at the end of the day.

The file contains demographic variables, the responses to 8 items of the General Self-efficacy Scale, 6 ítems of the Social support scale of the UNIPSICO questionnaire, 20 ítems of the Spanish Burnout Inventory, and 9 ítems from the Psychosomatic disorders scale of the UNIPSICO questionnaire.

The name of the variables and the value labels have been written in English to facilitate their understanding.

Data and codebooks are provided in csv format, following the FAIR principles.

Three files are provided:
1. Survey on the implementation of digital technology architecture in teacher training

This file contains the results of a detailed survey exploring the implementation of digital technology architecture in teacher education. The survey was designed to assess how educational institutions are integrating advanced digital tools into their professional development programmes and the impact this has on teaching and learning. The data collected provides valuable insight into the effectiveness of these technologies in the educational environment, areas of success and challenges that still need to be addressed to optimise educator training in the digital age.

Summary of the comparative analyses between the examination models as perceived by teachers and students.

Comparisons were made between model A: traditional face-to-face examination, model B: open-book examination with proctoring, model C: open book examination without proctoring. The results show that for teachers and students open-book exams with or without proctoring had no significant differences and are more in line with an authentic assessment than face-to-face exams.

The theory of planned behavior and the prediction of pre-service biology teachers' intention to teach evolution

We developed the project to identify and analyze variables that promote or hinder prospective biology teachers’ intentions to teach evolution. We adopted the model of the theory of planned behavior (TPB). We extended it to include additional variables described by teacher education research as key determinants of behavioral intention to teach evolution. We initially hypothesized that attitudes toward teaching evolution, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, personal religious beliefs, perceived usefulness, and knowledge about evolution would determine a person’s behavioral intentions. To test the hypotheses, we developed an online questionnaire and conducted a quantitative cross-sectional survey in the field of teacher education. The data included information on N = 309 participants. Because we initially analyzed the data using a two-stage structural equation model (SEM), we uploaded two data files that were created in subprocesses of our original analyses (for more information, see the original publication). The dataset “data3” contains 77 variables and has missing values. Since we wanted to use complete data for the SEM, we trimmed the data set “data3” to include only the 67 variables necessary for the SEM, then applied an expectation-maximum (EM) algorithm with multiple imputations, and obtained the data set “data4”.

Figure 4. The graphic representation of the means for the elements component of the technological dimension variable according to the group variable (teachers versus students)

The second hypothesis is confirmed. There are differences between teachers’ and
students’ representations on the technological dimension of private life. Test t results show
that teachers have a more positive perception than students for the next component of
technological dimensions: Personal Self [t(2344) = 4,446, p <0,05], Adaptive Self [t(2344) =
2,757, p <0,05], Primary groups [t(2344) = 3,192, p <0,005] (Table 3, Figure 4).

Dataset of questionnaires for teachers developed in the frame of ENVRIPLUS project

The questionnaire is addressed to teachers in order to catch their needs and help in feeding the platform with targeted contents. The first part of the questionnaire focuses on objective information about the formal, quantitative and qualitative position of science class in schools, and the content and methods of teaching in different countries. The second part of the questionnaire investigates personal teacher experiences and their views on what can improve training offer about environmental science lessons and courses. The third part investigates on tools teachers have and use and on what they would have. Questionnaires were collected based on the GITF international network and in the occasion of training events for Italian teachers. This action is undertaken for the developing of Task 15.5, aimed at providing secondary school teachers and students with an e-Training Platform, based on scientific themes related to Research Infrastructures for the Environmental Sector participating to ENVRIplus project. The main actions are aimed to design, structure, develop and execute a Training course for teachers to the use of the multimedia platform.
