FIGURE 3. A Specimen of T. e. elegans from Las Docas (UCK22) type locality. B Specimen of T. e. coquimbensis from Paiguano (UCK23) type locality. Fur color of Paiguano mouse opossum is clearer than the T. e. elegans specimen from Las Docas. Eye-rings are conspicuous in T. e. elegans. In T. e. coquimbensis, eye-rings are absent or more narrow than in T. e. elegans, and the ears appear slightly larger and more approximated.
