Vibroacoustic dataset of DGEN 380 turbofan test bench
<p>This dataset focuses on vibration and acoustic signals from a test bench based on the DGEN 380 turbofan, a small engine compared to those typically used in commercial aircraft. It provides a unique opportunity to explore the dynamics of a turbofan engine under different configurations, offering insights into vibroacoustic interactions and the impact of structural elements, such as Outlet Guide Vanes (OGVs), on the engine behavior. The test bench features a planetary gearbox with three planets, where the ring serves as the input, the sun as the output, and the carrier remains fixed. Key characteristic frequencies can be tracked, including the blade passing frequencies (BPF) and shaft-related frequencies for both the low-pressure (LP) and high-pressure (HP) shafts. The instrumentation setup includes three 3-axis accelerometers (A/34-2) positioned along the engine at specific locations, measuring vibration in the x, y, and z axes. The setups also include microphone distributions according to<strong> </strong>ISO 3746 standards and specific placements around different engine components, such as the rotor and stator. Four measurement configurations were employed, considering both the presence and absence of OGVs. The dataset includes acoustic and vibration signals for each configuration across different operational regimes, including idle, intermediate speeds, and full throttle. This controlled test environment allows for detailed analysis of the interaction between vibration and acoustic phenomena, providing insights that are valuable for diagnosing and improving turbofan engine performance.</p>
