<p>General view of a small shrine (located at 23°53'12.1"N 78°03'09.5"E), on a hillside south of Udaypur, overlooking a stone-faced reservoir with a measuring post. A stone inscription found lying loose on the hill slope (now in the Bhopal Museum), is dated saṃvat 1151 aṣāḍha śudi 7 (= 23rd June, 1094 CE) and records the construction of the tank by a brahmin named Vikrama in the reign of Paramāra king Naravarman, at the cost of 2500 silver coins.</p>

<p>Small shrine of post-and-plank construction (<em>maṇḍapikā</em>) on the slope of a hill near Amera village 1.5km south of Udaypur (23°53'12.1"N 78°03'09.5"E). It faces west towards a stone-lined reservoir with a measuring post at its centre. Lying near this structure was a stone inscription (now in the Bhopal Museum), dated <em>saṃvat 1151 aṣāḍha śudi 7</em> (= 23rd June, 1094 CE) which records the construction of the tank by a brahmin named Vikrama in the reign of the Paramāra king Naravarman, at a cost of 2500 silver coins.</p>

<p>Jain sanctuary cut into the eastern cliff-face of the Udaypur hill, Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh (23°53'30.1"N 78°03'31.0"E). The image of a seated Tirthankara is carved on the back wall, flanked by those of a mother goddess under a tree on the left side wall and a male guardian on the right side wall. A short 2-line inscription is engraved beside the Tirthankara image, in characters of the 11th-12th century.</p>

<p>Donative inscription at the Udayeśvara temple, Udaypur, Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh, engraved in the eastern porch on a dwarf pillar flanking the entrance. Dated saṃvat 1222 vaiśākha śudi 3 sōmē (=Monday, 4th April, 1166 CE), it records the perpetual endowment of half the revenue of Sāṃgavaṭṭa village within the sixty-four villages of Bhṛṃgārī to the temple, by Ṭhakkura Śrī Cāhaḍa, a military general under the Caulukya king Kumārapāla. It ends with the imprecation that 'He who does not observe this will bear the five great sins.'</p>
