Vine Growers adoption of IPM CVP PDO

Data from an online survey was conducted with 275 winegrowers from the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Protected Designation of Origin area. Data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling and a Multinomial Probit Model, revealing four out of five dimensions as components of winegrowers’ EA. The results demonstrated that increased EA significantly and positively affects the likelihood of adopting organic and Integrated Pest Management protocols.

Environmental and techno-economic assessment on the valorization of vine-side streams to produce resveratrol

Primary vine varieties of European wine PDOs

Primary varieties are the traditional vine cultivars of a region that are primarily used for making the wine products of a PDO region. In most cases, they are clearly defined in the legal document that regulate each PDO. We extracted primary varieties by analyzing the product specification files of European wine PDOs.

UAV multispectral imagery dataset over a vineyard affected by Botrytis in 'Tomiño', Pontevedra, Spain. It includes GPS location of vine trunks, diseases and GCP points.

This dataset contains a set of ground data and four flights captured on grape harvest over a vineyard affected by Botrytis cinerea. UAV flights took place on 16 September 2021, at 30 m height and using different angles (0, 30, 45 degrees). Pictures were taking using a Micasense RedEdge 3 sensor and were calibrated using the provided Micasense reflectance panel. The flight path was programmed to fly in autonomously, following manufacturer’s instructions (DJI). The dataset includes a shapefile with the GPS location of vine trunks, bunches affected by Botrytis and GCP points.

Forcing vine regrowth in vitis vinifera cv. touriga nacional at Douro region (datasets)

Datasets related to the trials performed during 2018 and 2019 in Douro Superior sub-region on 'Touriga Nacional’ grape, at Quinta do Ataide on Tou, in the course of the VISCA project. This data was used to the prepare the article with the DOI 10.5281/zenodo.3568194 (Forcing vine regrowth in vitis vinifera cv. touriga nacional at Douro region). For each year (2018 and 2019), it includes data on : fertility; harvested quantity; Maturation; ProDrawn leaf water potential quantity.

The same data was also used for the article "EFEITO DA INTERVENÇÃO EM VERDE CROP FROCING NA CASTA TOURIGA NACIONAL", DOI 10.5281/zenodo.3686023

These datasets are provided as part of the open access policy of VISCA project which is participating to the Open Research Data Pilot (ORDP) initiated in H2020, in particular for data used in scientific publications issued during the lifetime of the project.

Morphology and biomass allometry data of vines in Beijing

Lacking mechanical support tissue, vines may have distinctive allometric laws, which may differ from the predictions of theoretical models for self-supporting plants such as metabolic scaling theory (MST). Here, we collected 260 branches of 12 garden vine species to analyze the allometric relationships between diameter, length, leaf, and stem biomass and the effects of biotic and abiotic factors on the allometric relationships of vine branches using mixed-effect model ANOVA. Our results showed that the scaling exponents of diameter-length of vine branch had significant inter-species differences and were higher than the predictions of MST. Besides, the exponents of herbaceous vines were higher than woody vines. However, leaf-stem biomass of vine branches showed isometric relationships, which supported the predictions of MST and there was no difference among species and life forms. Both biotic and abiotic factors had weak effects on exponents of allometric relationships, while significant effects on constants. These results confirmed that vines invest more in elongation growth compared to self-supporting plants, but the partitioning of biomass follows a strict biophysical constraint. Our findings emphasize the significance of mechanical support tissue proportion in plant stems, which is a critical determinant in allometric scaling relationships.
