<p>MedAfriCarbon radiocarbon database and web app are outcomes of the <em>MedAfrica Project &mdash;Archaeological deep history and dynamics of Mediterranean Africa, ca. 9600-700 BC</em>. The dataset presented here includes a collection of <strong>1584</strong> calibrated archaeological 14C dates from <strong>1587</strong> samples collected from <strong>368</strong> sites located in Mediterranean Africa (plus some additional dates whose published information is incomplete). <p>A Full Dataset for the &quot;Molecular Mimicry Map of SARS-CoV-2&quot; Web Application</p> <p>This TAR archive file contains the minimally filtered list of potentially cross-reactive epitopes of SARS-CoV-2 and human proteins predicted by the CRESSP analysis pipeline (<a href="https://pypi.org/project/cressp/">https://pypi.org/project/cressp/</a>).</p> <p>Our web application, &quot;Molecular Mimicry Map of SARS-CoV-2&quot; (<a href="https://ahs2202.github.io/3M/">https://ahs2202.github.io/3M/</a>), only visualizes the high-scoring potential cross-reactive epitope pairs (40,000 epitope pairs maximum). However, for the researchers who want to access the complete list of potentially cross-reactive epitope pairs for further analysis, these full datasets can be used.</p>

DOI: <a href="https://doi.org/10.11141/ia.8.1">10.11141/ia.8.1</a></li> <li>and an R script with the code used to the reprocess this dataset.</li> </ul> <p>In the resulting files,</p> <ul> <li><strong>bilzingsleben-data.csv</strong>: partialy reprocessed Vollbrecht&#39;s data.</li> <li><strong>bilzingsleben.csv</strong>: output file of the reprocessing: the objects (antlers) are associated with the ranges of coordinates of the square they were found, links to their record in Vollbrecht&#39;s database are included.</li> <li><strong>bilzingsleben-refits.csv</strong>: refitting data are reformated in a convenient format.</li> <li><strong>bilzingsleben-timeline.csv</strong>: the year the squares were excavated were deduced using Vollbrecht 2000 and recoded. Data from: Predicting habitat suitability and connectivity for management and conservation of urban wildlife: A real-time web application for grassland water voles

<ol> <li>Natural habitats in urban areas provide benefits for both humans and biodiversity. However, to achieve biodiversity gains we require new techniques to determine habitat suitability and ecological connectivity that will inform urban planning and development.</li> <li>Using an example of an urban population of water voles (<i>Arvicola amphibius</i>) we developed a habitat suitability model and a resistance-surface-based model of landscape connectivity to identify potential connectivity between areas of suitable habitat. We then updated the environmental variables according to new urban development plans and used our models to generate spatially explicit predictions of both habitat suitability and connectivity.</li> <li>To make models accessible to urban and conservation planners we developed an interactive mapping tool that provided users with a graphical user interface (GUI) to inform conservation planning for this species.</li> <li>The model found that habitat suitability for water voles was related to distance from key environmental variables, such as built-up areas and urban green spaces, while the connectivity model identified important corridors connecting areas of potential distribution for this species.</li> <li>Future development plans altered the potential spatial distribution of the water vole population, reducing the extent of suitable habitat in some core areas. The interactive mapping tool made available suitable habitat and connectivity maps for conservation managers to assess new planning applications and for the development of a conservation action plan for water voles.</li> <li>Synthesis and applications: We believe this approach provides a framework for future development of nature conservation tools that can be used by planners to inform ecological decision making, increase biodiversity and reduce human-wildlife conflict in urban environments.</li> </ol>

Artifacts: An Approach for Reviewing Security Related Apects in Agile Requirements Specifications of Web Applications

<p>Abstract&mdash;Defects in requirements specifications can have&nbsp;severe consequences during the software development lifecycle.&nbsp;Some of them result in overall project failure due to incorrect or&nbsp;missing quality characteristics. Security is one of those uality&nbsp;characteristics that need to be considered in early phases. There&nbsp;are several concerns that make security difficult to deal with; for&nbsp;instance, (1) when stakeholders discuss general requirements in&nbsp;(review) meetings, they are often not aware that they should also discuss security-related topics, and in the rather rare cases they&nbsp;are aware (2), they typically do not have sufficient security&nbsp;expertise. This picture is even more challenging in agile&nbsp;development contexts, where lightweight documentation are typically involved. To address these issues, we designed an&nbsp;approach that considers user stories and security specifications&nbsp;as input and relates those user stories to security properties via&nbsp;Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. Based on the&nbsp;related security properties, our approach then identifies high-level security requirements from the Open Web Application&nbsp;Security Project (OWASP) to be verified afterwards. In a last&nbsp;step, the verification of the generated security requirements is then conducted via a focused reading technique. We&nbsp;finally validate our approach via a controlled experiment comparing the&nbsp;effectiveness and efficiency of novice inspectors (we used two&nbsp;different groups of students) verifying security aspects in agile&nbsp;requirements using our generated reading techniques against&nbsp;using the complete list of OWASP high level security&nbsp;requirements and a the same list of defect types embedded in our technique. The (statistically significant) results indicate that&nbsp;using the reading technique has a positive impact (with large&nbsp;effect size) on the performance of inspectors in terms of&nbsp;effectiveness and efficiency.&nbsp;</p> <p>This repository also contains:</p> <p>Artifacts used and results of the experimental study of the paper&nbsp;entitled &quot;An Approach for Reviewing Security Related Apects in Agile Requirements Specifications of Web Applications&quot;.</p>
