Survey data on attitudes towards salmon aquaculture industry in Norway, Iceland, and Tasmania (AU)
<p>The following data is from an online survey conducted in Norway, Tasmania (Australia), and Iceland. Respondents were recruited by survey companies that distributed e-mail invitations to their panels. A minimum respondent quotas was established for each region, with individuals under the age of 18 being exluded from participating in the survey. The dataset consists of a total of 2085 respondents, comprising 1183 participants from Norway, 406 from Tasmania, and 496 from Iceland. Questions were presented in their respective native language, namely Norwegian, English, and Icelandic.</p> <p>This survey data encompasses various aspects of perceptions of salmon aquaculture industry. Data was generated by the SoLic (Social License to operate for aquaculture) project (2019 - 2022), and funded by The Research Council of Norway (no. 295114). The survey was designed by the SoLic project group. </p> <p>The data and supplementary material is divided in 3 files:</p> <p>The raw survey data in .csv file format (Dataset Solic_2085 respondents.csv). The data file contains 71 variables and data from each of the 2085 respondents. Blank entries in the dataset indicate either a lack of response from the respondents or that specific questions were not applicable to certain respondents (questions exclusively posed to respondents in one country).</p> <p>Overview of survey questions and answer options (Survey.doc). The survey encompassed 28 questions related to the aquaculture industry, along with demographics, respondents’ knowledge of industry, trust in governance system, and environmental concerns. Some demographic variables were sourced from the existing panel data, while others were provided to respondents for their input.</p> <p>The codebook (Codebook.doc). The codebook provides explanations and details regarding all variables included in the survey data file. It includes coding information for each survey question, response options provided in the raw data, and further clarifies the purpose and origin of variables computed by the research group (e.g., variable on aquaculture municipality) or the survey company (e.g., weight variables for data from Norway and Iceland). When used in conjunction with the raw data, this codebook serves as a valuable guide for navigating the dataset. </p>
Populist attitudes and other socio-political views and psychological traits of the UK population
<p>This dataset is the result of an original survey designed by an interdisciplinary team of researchers from National Universtity of Distance Education (UNED), University of Zaragoza, University of Córdoba and University of Valencia.</p> <p>The goal of the survey was to better understand the relationship between populist attitudes and relevant socio-political and psychology items and indexes. The UK was selected as case study given the lack of similar studies in this country and the relevance of the data to better understand the political context that had been heavily impacted by the Brexit referendum and proces of separation from the European Union.</p> <p>The survey was theoretically informed and included among others:</p> <ul> <li>Populism, Elitism and Pluralism items by Akkerman et al. European consumers ́ preference and willingness to pay for food products labelled as obtained by a circular farming system -in relation to environmental attitudes and consumption behaviours
<p>Data was collected with questionnaire-based research carried out in Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Poland, and Spain as part of a European project. The survey questions were designed to obtain the Willingness to pay using 2 different methodologies the discrete choice experiment and the open-end choice experiment. The survey also included questions about consumers environmental attitudes, and consumption behavior (purchase, use and recycling), to identify if them have influence on preferences towards more sustainable food products. The 3 analyzed food products were pork meat, milk and bread, all of them obtained through different agricultural production systems (circular, conventional, and organic agriculture). The sample was stratified in terms of gender and age to be representative to the average population in each country. Furthermore, respondents included in this study were those that are mainly, or in part responsible for the household food shopping. The questionnaire was translated to the languages of the countries involved in the data collection and pre-launched using a pilot sample of 50 consumers in each case study country. Finally, a total of 5,362 validated questionnaires were obtained. Data was collected online using the Qualtrics market research company, and Net panel market company for Hungary from June 2021 to January 2022.</p>

A Multilingual Dataset of COVID-19 Vaccination Attitudes on Twitter
<p>This dataset consists of the IDs of 2,198,090 tweets collected from Western Europe, of which 17,934 are annotated with labels indicating the originators' affective vaccination stances, including Positive (PO), Negative (NG), Positive but dissatisfaction (PD), Neutral (NE) and Off-topic (OT).</p> <p>all_tweets.txt contains all the ids of the collected tweets, annotated_tweets.txt contains the ids of the annotated tweets and the categories they are annotated to.</p> <p> </p>

Survey data on behaviours and attitudes towards green food consumption of participants of the SmartFood Urban Living Lab in Warsaw, Poland
<p>In this dataset, we present raw data of a survey on behaviours and attitudes towards green food consumption, conducted between June 2023 and April 2024 among a group of 21 households from Warsaw, participating in a SmartFood Urban Living Lab (ULL). The dataset is complemented with results collected from two control groups. The SmartFood Urban Living Lab was an intervention aimed at providing residents of urban blocks of flats with a novel technology for growing their own food. The ULL served as an experimental ground for testing and refining innovations such as hydroponic cabins, rainwater management systems, solar energy systems, and insect farming units. Residents actively participated in the lab, providing valuable insights into the practical challenges and benefits of urban farming, which helped refine and adapt the technologies for broader application. After each month of the intervention, a survey was conducted to check participants' behaviours and attitudes towards green food consumption</p>

"Disaster Experience Mitigates the Partisan Divide on Climate Change: Evidence from Texas," <em>Global Environmental Change</em>. Vaccine Attitudes Examination (VAX) scale dataset in Spain
<p>This dataset contains data collected between November 15, 2021, and March 15, 2022. Demographic variables, data on vaccinated people, reasons for not getting vaccinated, and responses to items on the Vaccination Attitudes Examination (VAX) scale are included. Although the language of the open answers is Spanish, the name of the variables and the value labels have been written in English to facilitate their understanding.<br>Data and codebooks are provided in csv format, following the FAIR principles.<br>Three files are provided:<br>1. VAX data, with the data related to sample characteristics and the answers to the questionnaire items.<br>2. Database codebook of variables, with information of the labels of the variables of the VAX data file.<br>3.
