Temple Of Augustus Ruins
Herod the Great's temple to Augustus near Pan's Cave in Banias, Israel. "When, later on, through Caesar's bounty he received additional territory, Herod there too dedicated to him a temple of white marble near the sources of the Jordan, at a place called Paneion. At this spot a mountain rears its summit to an immense height aloft; at the base of the cliff is an opening into an overgrown cavern; within this, plunging down to an immeasurable depth, is a yawning chasm, enclosing a volume of still water, the bottom of which no sounding-line has been found long enough to reach. Outside and from beneath the cavern well up the springs from which, as some think, the Jordan takes its rise; but we will tell the true story of this in the sequel" Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Forum of Augustus (Rome, Italy)
Located in central Rome, the Forum of Augustus was built by Augustus and inaugurated in 2 BC. "The Forum Augustum or Augusti was the second of the imperial fora, adjoining the Forum Iulium, built by Augustus to provide additional room for the courts, and for other needs of the increasing population. The site was purchased by Augustus from its owners with the proceeds of the spoils of war, but he did not succeed in acquiring enough land to carry out his original plan. Within the forum was the temple of Mars Ultor which formed the essential element of the forum as the temple of Venus Genetrix did that of the forum Iulium. The work was greatly delayed, but that on the forum was hurried at last and this was opened before the temple was finished, although its actual dedication is said to have taken place on 1st August, 2 B.C., at the same time as that of the temple. Because of the temple of Mars, this forum was sometimes called forum Martis." (Citation: http://www.creatinghistory.com/the-forum-of-augustus/ ) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Portrait Bust of Augustus, Marble Sculpture
This is a scan of the sculpture 'Portrait of Augustus, First Emperor of Rome', currently on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, FL. This marble scultpure was displayed on a bright red wall, so you can see the reflection of the wall in the left side of the bust. A fun challenge, for sure! I used TRNIO to create this scan, you can learn more about the process here: https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Scanning-and-Printing-Statues-Using-TRNIO-and-M/ More info on the sculpture from the museum: https://mfastpete.org/obj/portrait-of-augustus-first-emperor-of-rome/ Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
