<p>Event-logs and Business Process Simulation Models used in the experimentation of the paper "Enhancing Business Process Simulation Models with Extraneous Activity Delays", where the '<em>inputs</em>' folder contains all the files used as input, and the '<em>output</em>' folder the results of the evaluation.</p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Inputs</strong></em>: event-logs, BPS models, and simulation parameters used as input in the experimentation.</p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Real-life</strong></em>: real-life event logs, corresponding to two disjoint subsets of traces from an Academic Credentials' process, and the BPIC 2012 and BPIC 2017 event logs (filtered as explained in the paper), and the BPS model (plus simulation parameters) used as input for each dataset in the presented approach.</li> <li><em><strong>Synthetic</strong></em>: simulated event-logs and corresponding BPS models (plus simulation parameters) for four different processes with 0, 1, 3 and 5 timer events.</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Outputs</strong></em>: results of the experimentation.</p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Real-life</strong></em>: results corresponding to the evaluation with real-life event logs. Model Collection of the Business Process Management Academic Initiative
<p>This model collection contains 29,810 models. The collection originates from the BPM Academic Initiative (BPMAI). In 2012, the initial members of this initiative were the following institutions represented by the corresponding professors: Mathias Weske (HPI, University of Potsdam), Marlon Dumas (University of Tartu), Marcello La Rosa (University of Melbourne), Jan Mendling (WU Vienna), Hajo A. Reijers (Utrecht University), Michael Rosemann (Queensland University of Technology, Australia), Jan Recker (University of Cologne, Germany), Wil van der Aalst (RWTH Aachen, Germany), Michael zur Mühlen (Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ) and Frank Leymann (University of Stuttgart), respectively, complemented by Dr. Gero Decker (Signavio GmbH, Berlin). The vendor Signavio provides a <a href="http://www.signavio.com/en/academic.html">free workspace</a> to the members of the BPM Academic Initiative and the models being created are made available for reseach purposes on the Creative Commons licence.</p> <p>The BPM Academic Initiative collection comprises tens of thousands of models, of various process modeling languages, and size. Models of the collection are available in several revisions, which opens a new perspective in researching the way people model.<br> The BPMAI collection is shared in a JSON format. Tools have been developed at HPI, University of Potsdam for efficiently processing these files. See the <a href="https://github.com/tobiashoppe/promnicat">PromniCat project</a>. Note that this project is no longer further developed, so you have to work with the information available there. Various analysis techniques can be applied for these models using the <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/jbpt/">jBPT library</a> or <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/apromore/">Apromore</a>.</p>

<p>Datasets and files used in the evaluation of the publication entitled "A Framework for Measuring the Quality of Business Process Simulation Models", where:</p> <ul> <li><strong><em>BPS-models/</em></strong>: folder containing the BPS models used in the evaluation (the BPS models discovered by ServiceMiner are not included due to privacy reasons). <ul> <li>The BPS models discovered by SIMOD are composed of <em>i)</em> a BPMN file with the process model structure, and <em>ii)</em> a JSON file with the parameters of the simulation. The adoption of Article Processing Charges as a business model by Brazilian Open Access journals

The adoption of Article Processing Charges as a business model by Brazilian Open Access journals. <em>Transinformação</em>, 31:e180045, 2019. <a href="https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045">https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045</a></p> <p>Different funding and business model alternatives for Open Access to scientific publication have been discussed and tried, either by Gold open access journals or by the ‘hybrid’ ones. A growing number of both types of scholarly journals have adopted a publication fee – more specifically an Article Processing Charge – as their open access business model, a procedure that has been the subject of controversies. The objective of this study is to characterize Brazilian open access journals that adopt article processing charges. The main contribution of this study is to audit and support decision making of editorial policies and business models for open access that are being proposed by and for Brazilian journals. We defined a sample of Brazilian open access journals using article processing charges extracted from the Directory of Open Access Journals database in April 2018 along with their classification in the Scimago Journal Ranking, Journal Citation Reports and Qualis Capes system, considered as an indicator of prestige of academic journals. The study reveals that a small number of Brazilian open access journals are currently applying article processing charges, with practices varying mainly according to fields of study, types of organization and classification according to the Qualis system.</p>
Business process models for a ride fulfilment process in a ride-hailing company enabled by an autonomous driving system
<p>The repository contains the business process models of a ride fulfilment process in a ride-hailing company enabled by an autonomous driving system. The models are depicted using BPMN.2.0 language and are extended with annotations for usage in the <a href="https://dpotool.cs.ut.ee/">DPO tool</a>. The models, which contain "Pleak" as a part of the title, are created using PE-BPMN language and some of them are annotated for usage in the <a href="https://pleak.io/">Pleak</a> tool set. </p> <p>The repository also contains two .csv files which contain the results of the simple disclosure analysis ("<em>6_RideFulfillment_PK_SecSharing_combined-Simple-Disclosure-results.csv</em>") and the results of the leak-when analysis ("<em>7_Pleak_RideFulfillment_PK_SecrSharing_BPMN_Leak_When-results.csv</em>") in the ride fulfilment process. Both analyses have been conducted using the <a href="https://pleak.io/">Pleak</a> tool set and the business process models with respective names from this repository.</p>
